I like the way that site lays it all out.
Mitt Romney - Score: 43
John McCain - Score: 30
Barack Obama - Score: 25
Hillary Clinton - Score: 22
Mike Huckabee - Score: 21
Mike Gravel - Score: 15
Ron Paul - Score: 9
I may have to read into the issues a bit more and re-take. I admit I'm pretty ignorant on political crap.

Yeah, that thing is all out of whack. It showed 61% agreement with McCain, yet, it had every issue except immigration in the "Agree" column. I don't know how it can have "Taxes" in the agree column when McCain was going off on a tirade back in '01 over the Bush tax cuts. Although, I don't think it takes into account a candidates "voting history"... it is probably just going on what the candidate "says". This is where McCain gets torched every time. Even though he "says" he's conservative on all this stuff, he has opposed the conservative agenda time and time again and that's why I have a real problem with him.

The dumb thing about that site is it's doesn't weigh the subjects. Like attitudes on Iraq vs stem cell research. Agreeing or disagreeing on Iraq should be a heck of alot more important then stem cell research.

I thought it did, that's why it asks you how important you feel each subject is?

Hmph. It told me Satan. :confused
Actually:
Mcain: 33
Huckabee: 28
Paul: 27
Romney: 26
Klin-ton: 4
Obama:4
Gravel: 3
There were some flaws...but understandable ones in that it didn't let me define my posistion as accurately as I'd like. Given the constraints of the format though, it's interesting.

I think someone needs to explain the process of preserving and burying a gun in the back yard (so it doesn't rust)... seeing as how Obama and Hillary are both vehemently anti-gun and we once again have a Democrat controlled Congress.
Here's your bomb shelter by the way. :D

Not much to the preserving/burying a gun thing, dissasemble, pack in grease, seal in air tight bag, bury in ground.

Here's the way I look at it:
Hey, there are a LOT of things I disagree with mccain on...however, some of the things I hold as very important, we agree on....and not only do we agree, but he stands in sharp contrast to the potential democratic rivals.
Where we disagree....it's not like *boom* some other democratic canidate and I agree either. So if I'm left picking someone who I agree with only 70% of the time (espeically with regards to things I hold as extremely important) in contrast with someone I agree with only 10% of the time (and seemingly 0% of the time on things I hold as very important), the choice is clear.
Don't let principles get in the way of reason.
