OK this is the second time this winter we have gotten a simple
dusting of snow when they swore it was "THE BIG ONE".......

Weather isn't a science we know that, but don't go into a
24 hour Warning and shut down the SE corner of the State
when we the conditions are right for a 50/50 chance of a
light dusting. Bet they sold a lot of commercials last night
during the 10pm report. I realy dont care if I wake up to
a foot and a half of snow and nobody told me about it,
today was like waking up on the 25th of Dec and somebody
canceld Christmas while I slept.

Hi I'm Billy Bob from Channel 11, I want to spend 8 million
dollars on your latest Pit Viper Quad Doppler Night Vision

snowing like crazy in west bend right now. they're calling for 10-16" of snow from now till 6pm. From the beginning they said the heavy stuff would be wednesday.
I'm so tired of everyone closing or cancelling things 24 hours before the storm comes! Today is Ash Wednesday, one of the most important holy days of the year and there are TONS of churches closed today. WHY? Leave the church open and leave it up to the people if they want to come to service. I dont attend church but I feel bad for those who want to go but can't. makes no sense to me.

i'm outta here, taking the sled out for a spin. drive safe ya'll

Because probably 75% of the people who still go to this are old people, who shouldn't be out on the roads when it's 75 and sunny. They can get ashes smeared on their foreheads tomorrow. I'm sure God will understand.

that, and my take is...organized religion is a business. what's the sense of turning on the lights if nobody is going to show up. Not worth going thru the trouble of having a service for 10 people...no money in the collection plate.
But, that's my view.

I've been watching this all night, the storm slowed down by about 6-8 hours. The fun is just beginning. What should of been here at 3 am should just be getting here now. I'm still not so sure where these "bands" of heavy snow are gonna go. Everyone just drive careful out there, I think evening rush hour might suck.

Sly made it in, and he lives in Watertown. And I am going to school tonight in Hales Corners, then back home, so I will do plenty of driving today. Yea I heard that bit of news this afternoon, I think they said it happened this morning ?

Driving with a automobile that doesn't go through this stuff well or at all is the worst feeling in the world, I feel especially bad for all the folks who have jobs driving trucks around (some big) only to get stuck at every stop and some intersections.

Damn glad I got my free Heep 4x4 winterbeater, If I would have had my Mark 7 I would have been stuck in the middle of the street and crying. Being that I am partially "responsible" for snow removal at work it is imperative that I make it to work.

I am done for tonight. Broke my shovel handle, and bent the handle on my snowblower. Got the front walk done and the main part of the driveway, between my wife and I we have about 7 hours into shoveling/ blowing this shit.

Throttle cable became dislodged at the lever on my snowblower. Good thing it was at an RPM I could work with. Until further notice, RPM's will be managed by the choke cable... til that breaks or a rod comes shooting out the bottom... :rolf

Just finished up... And yanked that POS murray out the ditch with the S10 too and back up the drive way, fixed the de-beaded tire and plowed the flat surafaces. Most of the shit was taller than the snowthrower.

I hate this weather. It scares me, and I will freely admit that. Today and part of yesterday I had to call in to work because of it, and I hated to do that, but today it was just too awful to travel through, and a friend/co-worker offered us a ride to work, but I didn't want to put him in danger picking us up. When the building managers cleared the 2-3 feet of snow away from our door so we could actually get out, I was shocked to see that my HUGE 1973 Olds and my (also pretty damn big) 1979 Camaro were literally buried in snow drifts. Thank you California Car Cover Co. for your wonderful heavy-duty car-covers......It took me a LOOOONG time to un-bury them, but I did it, it seemed wrong to leave them like that. There is now a sort of snow-pile between both cars that is level with the height of the Olds' hood, and higher than the Camaro's hood. This is insane, and I am longing desparately for Spring. Be safe and careful, everyone.

My HHR did great in this stuff. Got to work, boss ended the work day at 2PM and drove it home...no trouble. Plows came through the complex and most of us got out to move cars and HHR got out, Scion Xb got out and the 83 Mercury wagon got out. Hell we all got out. Everything should be cool tomorrow.

I know what you mean, I made the stupid mistake of leaving the Iroc out this winter in the backyard...figured it'll get redone once I graduate from college in the year so whats the point since it already is going to need body work...BIG mistake. My poor Iroc had easily 3 ft on the car..I felt so bad I had to take it off...the snow is up to the mirrors on the door :wow

I thought it was just me getting stuck while plowing, talked with
a few guys and they had the same problems pushing this heavy
and wet crap. My son rode with tonight, he couldnt believe there
were driveways and parking lots where we were plowing!

Awesome wrecks throughout the hood, lightpoles down and cars
in spots you wouldnt think they could fit!

Interesting... I've actually heard more than one complaint about the HHRs in this stuff... Maybe GM just equips fleet cars with crappy tires since all of the complaints have been from members of our fleet... All I know is that when it snows out, my HHR does ok til I have to go up any kind of hill... :rolf Then it's all over...

I saw the dumbest shit on the road today. Some guy in a black firebird was stuck at an intersection with the nose buried under a snow mound. Why would you take that out?!?! I dont care if its your only car....CALL OUT OF WORK! This was around 5:40pm btw so its not like they didnt know it was snowing allday. Fuggin idiots like this cause accidents and cause issues for teh rest of us trying to get home.

Heh, I had the gt stang out all day yesterday and i was seemingly unstoppable in that shit.

Heh In the parking lot at work the snow was above my door sills and I made it out without no problem. It was kinda funny all the people at work cleaning off their cars were just staring at me like, "how the **** is this guy moving a mustang through this snow so easily". Funniest part, there was like 10 cars in the lot this morning that people couldn't even get out of their spots. :rolf

QFT The S10 goes better in the heavy shit than the monte... Amazing how snow tires and weight can transform a otherwise useless vehicle into something that rips past 4x4s at stop lights in this shit :rolf

I don't want to hear any complaints about the snow. I just got home from work now (started at 11 on Tuesday night). Yeah. That's right. Do the math there. Nobody could get to the house for their shifts, so I stayed since we can't leave our residents alone.

There better be a decent bonus on my next paycheck....

The shit was pretty bad yesterday. I got sent home from work after being there for lke not even 2 hours and they actually closed the JC Penney call center.. My mom (who works downstairs in the warehouse) said in the 30 years she has been there...it has never closed until today.

here is what my car looked like after the hour and a half drive home from Tosa

I went to work yesterday no problems at all. My truck was able to handle it. My driveway to the condo had 18" of snow atleast and it went right through it. Big drifts from plows took a running start but I managed. I did my good deeds for the day too and pulled 3 people out of the ditch on my way home from work.

The city of Greenfield gets an F for snow removal. Every road in that city is terrible.

I also got to dodge some projectile slush being thrown high and far out onto Oklahoma Ave from a certain car dealership this afternoon... :rolf
