I like Paypal unless I'm selling something (i.e. receiving money). They take something like 3% off the top. It's very convenient though...pretty much worth it to me.

I've never had a problem with Paypal. Matter of fact the 2 times I got ripped off on Ebay, Paypal got me my money back right away.

Completely agree here. PayPal helps me out a lot (along with the client) when I do Web Development work here at home. Never had a problem.

i was screwed once on there. person didnt deliver something and then cancelled there account immediately. had no card on file blah blah. i have been using it since but am a lot more careful.

Why does paypal suck? Well, the fees suck.... as others have said the fees are kind of inevitable..... but ebay + paypal fees together (considering ebay owns paypal) really suck balls.

paypal sometimes holds your account... you need to wait for them to verify (mail you stuff), basically locked up my account for a month, right after I won an item.

this is great i hate paypal with a passion **** ass customer service i lost 1100 bucks n one swoop and their attempt to get money back wa a ****ng joke

Google Checkout (formerly Google Wallet) also is an alternative.

I'm not sure what's happened since they changed from Wallet to Checkout, but it was supposed to work the same way.
