well, as some of you may know, my black 97 coupe neon broke on me just before x-mas, and i've been forced to make it run now that i don't have my 02 to fall back on anymore...

lift off the valvecover, and this is what i noticed...

i dunno, ya think that would make it idle funny/not run at all:stare

i think i overtorqued it when i was assembling the engine when it went in... guess it pays to invest in a good inch/pound wrench:banana1:

i knew i had talent in blowing up stuff on cars, but this takes the cake so far... my trans was a close second.... 3 holes in the bellhousing, and it still got me the 3 miles home after it VW-styled itself(air cooled trans FTL)

i used one, but the setting is so low, i guess i should have paid more attention to the click... i think the FSM calls for like 35 in/lb and the wrench i have is more of a bend vs. a click, so when it hits the set torque, it doesn't audibly click, it just kinda bends in relation to the ratchet head.... wierd, but it works...

ah well... live and learn... and now i've got a nice beating stick.... lol

Tri overhead cams. Sweet!

I'd sell that mod on Ebay.
