Some of you might remember last year at jefferson me and my dad picked up a 1972 nova from california that my dads friend brought back for us. We are cloning it to be a 1970 and have some very rare feautres to go along with it. The car is being built to be ALL motor no nothing. Have a radio delete dash/tilt colum with gear selector on the coloum/200mph speedo/no heater/dog dish hubs/rubber mat bench seat with a 396 bored .40 over. I did all the motor work during my classes at WCTC few years back when i was in the GM asep program. Its a father son project. My dad has a 72 now that he has owned since 73. But we always talked about how cool it would be to have a big block car. So this is it. It is moving along very nicley as of right now. Its going to "phathom blue" which is a dark blue. Its a factory color. Will have black interior in it also. We stripped the car down to the rear end front suspoensin and rear leaf springs. Cut the floors out because they were swiss cheese as the rear window leaked and the oringainl owner never did anything about it so it got the floor and the back window frame. The car was sent to the body shop to get the floors welded in do the window and then fill some other misc. holes that we wont need. And then finally its getting a paint job. This weekend the jvsodablasting came and did the car. He uses baking soda to leave a nice clean smooth fisnih also uses glass sand and what ever else you might or want to use. I didnt get any of it completely done as i didnt wnat to stay and wait it takes some time. So heres what i got pictures of.

Should be going into primer monday and then block and sand away on it and get some paint. Told the guy by june it would be nice to have back. At least it did not turn into one of those started but never finish vehicals. As its a local shop and we can go there when ever to take a look so the guy has to stay on his feet and keep on trucking. Most projects are 10-15 year or never ending projects. This one SHOULD be done and running if all goes as planned by the end of summer.
