Three men go into a hotel. The man behind the desk said the room is $30 so each man paid $10 and headed off to the room. A while later the man behind the desk realized he'd overcharged for the room - was only supposed to be $25 so he sent the bellboy to refund the $5.

On the way the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split $5 evenly between three men, so he gave each man $1 and kept the other $2 for himself. This means that the 3 men each paid $9 for the room, which is a Total of $27 add the $2 that the bellboy kept = $29.

Where is the other dollar?

In any event, it's worded wrong. They paid 25 dollars to the hotel manager, and 2 dollars to the bellboy. 25+2 equals 27. 27/3=9. Another way to look at it is this:

25 to the manager. 3 dollars to the men. 2 dollars to the bellboy. 25+3+2=30.

100% Correct...!!! I'll admit it took me a few seconds to figure it out but I wasn't worried about it. I'm just glad I can easily see through 'situations' like this 'teaser' or politics in general. The trick to understanding anything is to look at raw numbers, facts, etc for your decision. Don't get caught up in anything else that doesn't pertain specifically to the solution, and in this case the 'story' about the 3 men and the hotel.....

That's the main reason I can't stand political crap, because NOBODY tells it like it is.....
