I can't remember a crazier winter as far as the weather goes, or am I the only one.....:goof

It was 40 degrees this morning and it will be about 5 below zero tonight. Not to mention the 30-40MPH winds gusting over 50 MPH at times to push the wind chill to 30 below zero. All I have to say is "if this is 'global warming', BRING IT ON...!!!

Its times like this that I'm glad I have pictures like this one (from our family's cottage on Long Lake in Dundee, WI) to look at. It's also where the Extreme Home Makeover house is located if the name sounds familiar.....

It's funny I looked at the nation forecast this morning. It said 65 in phoenix and -15 in green bay. Had to call my dad and laugh. :D

This sporadic weather is a sign that the advance of the polar air mass has reached is southernmost limit. Typically, the end of January is the coldest part of the year by averages. IIRC, January 22 is the coldest day of the year.

Things change direction as we begin our warming trend towards summer. The atmosphere has gone into "WTF-mode" and begins to become a bit unstable. This is kinda typical.

BTW- Wisconsin could use some global warming! Also, the rest of the week looks good for weather, starting Thursday.

our family's cottage on Long Lake in Dundee, WI)

My mom's boyfriend is in the process of building a log cabin right on the lake in Dundee. What end of the lake are you are? He is more towards "downtown" area and not by the Alien bar.

Took the dog out to do her business, poor thing couldn't find shelter from the wind. She was happy to get back in the apartment.

It’s on the same side but right in the middle, we are south of Benson's campground by about 10 cabins.....

The picture is pointed at the state land across the lake.....

I can't remember the last time it was this wicked outside, and I do mean wicked  . I just had to go out at Midnight and move a car to the other side of the street. When I tried opening the door MY HAND FROZE TO THE HANDLE...!!! I just came from inside to where I was cleaning dishes so my hand was still a little damp, never had that happen to me before....:flipoff2:

This is all on top of taking a HUGE spill as I ran out to the car, my left leg is still numb from smacking the driveway hard as nails. My driveway is flat as a pancake so all the water from today's rain was just waiting to freeze, just like an ice rink....:wooo

I love winter as much as an ice pick to the nuts.....:punch:

All the area schools are closed, but I haven't received an email that my morning classes were canceled. ):

They were last night though. Now I can't decide if I just want to walk to class or spend 10 minutes trying to get the ice off of my car to drive.

:rolf Once again our building manager shines as a moron... All of our sidewalks are ice at my apartment... No salt put down... And I'm sure that this guy isn't going to do the work... Hopefully no one slips and falls...

I drove home last night around 12:30-1am and my car wouldnt start neither would 2 other employees, then EVERY fuggin road I was on was a sheet of ice. ALmost like the snow melted and froze instantly. I saw no salt trucks out and the wind gusts were nasty! I was up until 4am and could hear it howling in my basement. I cant wait for spring.
