I have come to the conclusion that I just can't sleep. Anybody on anything? What works? What does not? Side affects?

After your workout do you feel physically exhausted, and do you then sleep better compared to other nights when you don't workout...???

Tylenol PM and ANY TYPE OF ALCOHOL = trouble.
Labeling for all OTC pain relievers, including Tylenol, contains an alcohol warning. Labeling for all Tylenol products reads as follows:

"If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage."

Additionally, the labeling for all products containing an antihistamine (Tylenol PM) advises to avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this product.

Do you push yourself to the 'brink' every time you workout...??? I have found that same thing happens to me after a short workout, but if you push yourself hard you will get tired eventually afterwards and falling asleep is so much easier.....

I don't like taking a drug if it's not absolutely needed, and I believe that the human body is so amazing that it will take care of itself if you take care of it. I have learned so much about myself lately as far as what works compared to what doesn't, and exercising is a must to keep you 'regular' in so many areas.....

Regular workouts. Push yourself. Nothing better than being exhausted with accomplishment.
You know... the kind where you can barely pick up your arms to shampoo your hair, kinda work outs.

Running keeps me sane. (when my knees allow)

Do stuff to make you tired... or go to the doctor.

Don't end up in a box like Ledger...

melatonex all natural and not habit forming. 1/4 of a pill and I am knocked out, only thing make sure you have AT LEAST 6 hours dedicated to sleep. after 3 days, I am back on track with sleeping patterns.

I have been using Ambien for over a year with no side effects. I dont take it every night.
Its not habit forming. I never wake up drowsy or cloudy headed.

im with yoo on this one. i get meletonin form the local grocery store for 3-4 bucks a bottle. totally non adicting and all natural. after one of these i can easily be asleep and stay asleep. and also like yoo said, after a few days your body gets use to falling asleep and you wont need it till the next time you have a problem.

May I recommend a nice single malt scotch. One or two shots before bedtime. I like Glenfiddich.

Mike I know your pain all to well. After I had my spinal and knee surgeries I have not gotten a sound nights sleep in over 5 years and that is no bullshit. Ive tried everything over the counter and by prescription. Those Ambien CL were the ones that really fuked with me hardcore. I took two one time and the got amnesia for the rest of the evening, I shit you not. Jenny said I was talking about soem weird shit and I didnt remember it at all and also I was found sitting in my chair in the other room at 4 in the morning snoring with the video game controller in my hands and I dont know how I got there?:rolf

Just an fyi when it comes to the script stuff man, good luck.
