I had to replace the inner primary sheave with one from another machine, and I cant find the alignment marks on the back side of the sheave. What am I supposed to do about this?

Heres a couple of links to some pics, they are quite big...

you cant really index the back sheave, only the spider and the movable sheave. the only way to make it "right" is to have it rebalanced.
with that being said,it will most likely be fine for a long time just put it together.

The reason I ask is the original sheave had an index mark, but it got destroyed, lol. Thats why it was replaced, but this one doesnt have. Looking at the pics, it's drilled for balance so I assume it must matter.

run it together and mark it once, then try putting it together differently...

Rotax Manual:

Are you having a problem: YES or NO

If YES: Liberally apply gasoline to all areas of machine. At a safe distance, light a match. Throw lit match onto machine. Wait 10 minutes.
If NO: Operate machine. Problem should arise within 10 minutes of full warm-up. At this point, refer to initial troubleshooting question.

hahaha isnt that true for yamahas too?

back to original question- the clutch should only go together one way. ur problem will arise if the balancing is way differant from sheave to sheave. my opinion is to go on hardcoresledder and look for one thats matched and balanced correcrtly. if the balance is close just run it.
