Anyone else shocked that the gay bashing card hasn't been played yet by the media or anyone in regards to this killing? Usually the media loves to jump all over that angle. It's nice to see for once race or sexuality not be brought up, but I'm still very surprised.

Hmmm, how did you know him? :gay :goof

He was out with three women from work at about 1:10 a.m. Saturday when two men demanding money approached them.

The news even mentioned the 'life partner' he leaves behind in South Africa.

He was shot in Walker's Point leaving La Cage. And every person at his vigil was a man. And every pic they showed of him he had his arm around another guy.

You don't need to work for CSI to figure that mystery out.

And it has been the biggest news story in Milwaukee for the last couple days.

eh miller is a job shop filler ne way..... kinda suprising tho since coors just opened the shanandoah plant to better serve the east coast.....

imho omni bottlers suck... a/b did a fine job making rolling rock taste like sh!t.... I can see this miller coors being problematic.....amazing how different a beer can taste just cus of the water a different plant uses.......

but what can I say 90% of the beer drinkers out there don't know what a beer should be....

more to the topic miller/sab has an abundance of execs...... one dead just means another atm feeder will advance......

I don't see what benefits we get from having Miller based here anyways. Seems to me I can usually buy Bud cheaper. Miller just throws their name on everything around here and overcharges for it in return.

Keeping Miller local, keeps available jobs here in WI, instead of thousands of employees losing their jobs to the company moving to another state. Budweiser is definitely larger at this point than Miller nationally, but globally that is not the case. My understanding to the Miller/Coors "merger" is to lead the industry in the states, as well as globally :thumbsup

miller makes more beer then just miller.....without them....the unemployment line would be a hell of alot longer......plus miller gives back to milwaukee.....lots of charities would suffer without them as well.....

Miller Coors doesn't want to shut down the brewery where the bulk of the employee's would seem to be but may move the Headquarters/office workers out, that wouldn't seem like much more than a few hundred people, which I hate to see anyone lose their job but its not that many.

Weird how things have changed over the years.

The top 10 in 2004 has more employees working than in 1970. Funny tho, is how the work went from a manufacturing base to a service based thing. This recent shooting should not have any impact on a decision to move HQ to one city or another. Denver (Golden) has a crime rate as well. It's not like the guy was a top exec, either. He was in benefits payment and retirement management.

I think miller lived in the same building as me. All of my neighbors are VERY sad right now.
