Big3 Update!!!!!

Well I got my Viper back today and......................not sure yet. Under the hood looks pretty good. I will post pics in a day or so. Some of the fit and finish isn't great (hose wraps and such) but not bad at all. The side sills were mounted over my trim on the runner but Tony said they would fix it when I had to final tune done. Everything else looks good and the rims are f***in sweet

I didn't really like the fact they were driving it around in this weather considering he told me he would trailer it to and back from places but no apparent damage to the exterior.

The new exhaust and headers are still burning off the coating so it stinks. Should burn off soon I hope.

He has put the base SCT tune in the computer and told me things would be fine until I had the final tune done. I drove it today for about 10 to 15 miles and it runs good. It pulls very strong in the low rpms and no problems with driveability so far. No funny smells (except the headers) no popping or flat spots...... I was very hesitant to get on it because it hasn't been dyno tuned and his tuning numbers seem way too lean for me. I will def. have it dyno tuned before I spool up the charger. I pulled it in the garage and checked for leaks and none to be found. I let her sit for 10 minutes or so and then I fired it up again to let my wife hear the new exhaust. Smoke came pouring out of the exhaust and I shut it off. Grey smoke so I thinks it's a little rich..and I could smell the fuel. From my understanding I should be looking for 11.5 to 1 on the fuel at wot and he it telling me 13 to 1........with 8lbs of boost

I am going to call him about the smoke and let ya'll know

Bought a Viper cuz I wanted one since I was a kid. One of my favorite cars still....... I grew up building chevy's and in fact still have a 74' Nova which I'm hoping to finish this year.

Went to Big3 after running into Forrest at a gas station. He seemed like a good guy and pretty knowledgeable. After a month or so of conversation they gave me a great price and I decided to go ahead. I couldn't find any info on them in a Google search and other checks I did. (Only there website photo's and such) Only a few days after I decided the Big3 stang fella called me and told me to get my car out of there.......thats how it all started

Well I went and picked up the rest of my parts today from Big3. Tony was hesitant to give my stuff back. He asked for my word to let him dyno it after I had it tuned by sound performance. Without the final dyno he has no article for the magazine it is going in. I told him sure if I can drive it no prob. Pulled my truck around back and loaded everything myself while he stood and watched. With all the crap that went on he could of a least helped my load my shit up. :punch: He didn't say a word until I had finished and then he reminded me that I promised him I would bring the car back for the dyno tune...otherwise he will lose any potential viper business. :rolleyes:

With all the shit that happened i am just glad I got my car back.

I am just sick of all the shit on both sides and am glad it is over. At this point I don't see anything wrong or bad with the car and I never did give him the chance to tune it. I think he was trying to bullshit me on the amount of tuning experience he had based on the numbers he was coming back with. EVERY other tuner i talked too told me tuning 101 for a boosted car is around 11.2 - 12.2 at wot. He was at 13.6

He then said at 11.5 the car would be billowing smoke at wot cuz it would be to rich. That was when I got my car back. It's smoking now at idle and is supposedly at 14.5 at idle.....

He didn't make the investment, his financial backer did. Tony could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman wearing white gloves. He is a good talker. He can convince the most conserved people to do outragous things to their cars for crazy prices.

He also invested a lot of money in a company that does supercharger kits for the Hemi motors. One of the many lies he told that company is that they had a dyno in house. In reality they would just beat on the cars down the street. Once the company found out they pulled their rights to sell the kits. I know of a shop that had to fix their mistakes on the supercharger kit install.

I am not out to just bash their shop, but I have never seen one good thing come out of their. With out their finanical backing, they would be out of business. As long as that dude keeps throwing money at them they will be around.

I pulled it in the garage and checked for leaks and none to be found. I let her sit for 10 minutes or so and then I fired it up again to let my wife hear the new exhaust. Smoke came pouring out of the exhaust and I shut it off. Grey smoke so I thinks it's a little rich..and I could smell the fuel. From my understanding I should be looking for 11.5 to 1 on the fuel at wot and he it telling me 13 to 1........with 8lbs of boost

keep it around 11.5, 13 is a little lean for a car driven everyday, if the engine was built, you were on race gas, and you barely drove it, id say 12.5 wouldnt be so bad, but for a street car that i assume runs pump, keep it at 11.5, your pistons will thank you

I just don't know what to say about the entire thing. He did everything he said he was going to do as the far as the install and pricing on the rims. I am just sick of all the shit on both sides and am glad it is over. At this point I don't see anything wrong or bad with the car and I never did give him the chance to tune it. I think he was trying to bullshit me on the amount of tuning experience he had based on the numbers he was coming back with. EVERY other tuner i talked too told me tuning 101 for a boosted car is around 11.2 - 12.2 at wot. He was at 13.6

I did call SCT performance and he did invest quite a few thousand dollars to be able to tune Vipers only........now tell me why he would make that investment if I thought he was going to screw up my car....who knows...and at this point who cares. i dont'...my car is safe in the garage:thumbsup

thats because they need to set the tourque linits up higher in the cpu what a bunch of dumbass people. mine did the same thing after the blower was put on. and marv raised the limits. holy shit what a craphole get your car outta there if its there

14.7:1 is complete combustion everything is burned up but on forced induction motors your usually in the 11's for a/f n/a motors ive seen in the 13's.My motors like the low 11's.
