I just read that NHRA Top Fuel driver Doug Herbert's 2 sons were traggically killed in a car accident in their home town. His oldest some James(17 years old) was driving with his younger brother Jon (14 years old) to get breakfast at McDonalds on Saturday morning. Apparently they went to pass a slower car and went into the oncoming lanes to do so and struck an H2 head on. They were driving in a Mazda 3.
Doug was out of state doing some testing for the upcoming start of the season.
I couldn't imagine what Doug and his family is going thru.
Doug is a top notch person and is very friend and appreciative of his fans etc.
