Chevy powered, or from Mexico? ;) I believe Cutlass' made/sold in Mexico were called Chevrolet's, even though it was basically an Olds Cutlass.

My 2nd Monte, had it for about a year....total beater but fully loaded even with the little things like a block heater (?). Way too rusty to restore, someone from Oklahoma bought it, go figure.

My 3rd Monte, had it for about 2 years. Daily driver for those 2 years, so it has more sentimental value. Also probably too rusted out to fix but the t-top roof was actually rust free, even the plates. Not sure how that happened. No posi, split power bench seat but t-tops :D . Traded it with some cash for my current LS.

TPI parts donor. Was complete and running/driving when I got it. Silver gfx, digital dash, GTA wheels, nicely optioned car, but pretty rusty. I wish I had a picture when it was complete before I parted it.

This served as my daily beater for about 4-5 months and was my last daily/beater Monte :( . The best part was this car had an alarm...was pretty funny to have it off in certain occassions.

The last Monte I purchased, 86' SC, as a parts car. Didn't run. Paid a whopping $50 for it and it was very much local. RocketPower pointed this car out on the board when it was for sale.


My current SS is my 1st Monte and the LS is my 4th, for anyone keeping score at home. I don't miss the previous ones at all but I do miss driving one daily, many times.

Was pretty fun to spray bomb one weekend when I was bored. I always wanted an orange car ;) .

Also my parents let me have their 1990 Plymouth Reliant for a few months, then I sold it for them to Yosef. Car ran fine but was just too damn plain and slow even for a beater. You can see a bit of it behind the Trans Am above.

I kind of miss having total beaters. They could be embarassing but being a poor college student with them, I didn't really care. Never caring if someone dings or hits you is a comforting feeling.
