View Full Version : WANTED: Mechanical Designer/Detailer

I'm looking for a Mechanical Designer/Detailer to create details of heavy equipment - mostly castings, large weldments, machined parts, steel fabrications and purchased parts using AutoCAD. This position involves working with Engineers and Sr Designers to create fabrication, machining, assembly and layout drawings.

The ideal candidate will have:

2-4 years mechanical detailing experience with AutoCAD
A solid knowledge of GD&T and Bill of Materials
Associate Degree in Mechanical Design
Solidworks or Inventor experience is a big plus


First Shift, 40 hrs/wk

This is a growing company that has had excellent success and this is a chance to be involved in an exciting product line during its early development.

Located off I-94 in the Delafield area.

Dam. I am a designer for a tool and die company but i am mainly 2D I am going to school in the fall for mechanical design.

I will be going to MATC in the fall. Right now the CAD program I use is Cimpak or Cimex.

I've been in the tool trade for 9 years now, from running machines, to programming toolpaths. The last 8 months ive started learning ProEngineer. PM me with some more info

PM me with some more infoHow much work experience with AutoCAD? I can teach a new employee the 3D software, but I don't want to teach someone GD&T, BOMs or AutoCAD.

ive been taking drafting classes my whole high school career.. i just finished a AutoCAD lt 2007 and Pro Engineer specific class....im actually playing with PRO E right now...and it isnt letting me EXTRUDE right now on this front surface!!

**ninja edit...you cant extrude when you clicked the SKETCH insted of the EXTRUDE button ;)

next is the REVOLVE feature for some Bolts.:)

ive been doing it for a good 7 months..i started over the summer.. trying to make a DSM head in my spare time.:thumbsup
