I remember i raced an 00' 5.4 with my old mans 99 Sierra BFS first year 5.3... dead even for the first 20 foot, then the 5.3 climbed up on the pipe and pulled and put 2 lenghts on it by 90. I still remember telling the dude next time ill run him with the empty 3,000 lbs enclosed trailer on to make it fair. Slugs.

Meh...I don't mind a truck that's fun when I step on it and can still tow exactly what I need to tow (which is rarely over 6,000lbs).

I remember racing a short bed stepside ford, reg cab, 2WD....I actually thought it was a lightning at first just looking to pick on my old Ram SS/T (reg cab, short bed, graphics package) with the 5.9 and 2wd, 3.55 gears. Thankfully, it wasn't the lightning it at first appeared to be....walked it fairly easy after 25mph or so...

...trust me, the ram wasn't that fast either. Best time at the track was 15.9 @ 84 or so....most runs were low 16's.
