You know, the blue tape on the front of the '90 at track events to hold the carbon fiber hood down just isn't doing it for me anymore. Adam's spending money on making it more reliable (haha) and handle better, but I just want it to look better. (:

So I saw these on another SHO and I like them, compared to the usual hood pins. I'm not a big fan of hood pins to begin with, unless on a nice muscle car, but something is needed to keep the hood down during all those high speed runs (haha).

Anybody use them before? If not, what type do you use or recommend?

regular old hood pins are the most reliable, otherwise DZUS fasteners are a real nice alternative.

I hear regular hood latches are popular.

all my cars that've had fiberglass hoods still had normal latches.

It's already got a carbon hood (NOT saying it doesnt look good:D ) I say go for them. They look like they'd blend good with the carbon hood. :thumbsup

We have the dzus fasteners on the racecar and they are really nice, just don't think I want them on a street car.

true, i just like how they are simple and small. kind of blends in. I take it the hood is a bolt on style (uses the factory hinges) not a lift off?

Correct. Uses the standard latch in the front too, but they have been known to let loose at higher speeds (like on the freeway), so we tape it down at race events. It doesn't move when I drive it on the highway, but I rather be safe then have a carbon fiber windshield.
