FINALLY! got my hard drive back from data recovery. I'm uploading the avatars so those wont be broken anymore.

Should I even bother trying to recover the old posts?

Post up your thoughts what is worth recovering or just move on.
Understand you cant just copy the the old posts over unless I delete the posts from crash to this point forward. The thread and post ID's are going to overlap.

Getting post counts back to could be a mess. People that re-registered might have a different userID now so if I restore that, someone else could end up with the posts.

On another side note: Yes I did learn a bit of a lesson. My backup plan is "Act of God" proof now. I have data replicating nightly to 3 different places.

I would just leave everything as is.. I mean I really don't see what's to be gained by importing the old data.

I'd say the old stuff doesn't need to come back. We'll create plenty of new topics etc to replace the old anyways :)

Pix of drive :]

I posted that in the thread when it was destroyed... They sent me back a new USB hard drive with all my data.

Interesting note... some of the paths are all foobar'd but most of the data is there.

I think it's fine as is. Just keeping it running is awesome of you.

I hope you know how much each and every one of us appreciate what you do for us, for the community.
