In your opinion what would be a good price for a 07 Cummins 6.7L, 28 miles (thats right only 28 miles) Quad Cab, SLT, all power options, ect. I found a place up north that is like the #1 Dodge truck sales and they have great prices. Just wondering what you guys think would be a good price.

Is it at Lenz? If you want a good deal on a dodge id recommend you try Van Horn dodge in plymouth....

Hard to say what its worth withoug knowing exact options package, was it previously titled?

I wouldnt pay a dime over 40K for it though if your coming off of sticker price, unsure of there current rebates.....

Im getting my new chevy for around 35K and with incredible APR.

Van Horn is the place. Amazing prices....they are asking 33k so i figured if i go with 5k+ cash and tell them ill take it home today. With the market like it is it should work.Your gettng an 08 chevy or 07 for 35?

Smokey1226
01-20-2008, 05:07 PM
I ment to say they are asking 33 ill pay 28k + my trade in, and ill take it home.

33K is what your going to pay, van horn doesnt deal. Trust me, there prices are damn near rock bottom as they sit. Thats a good deal.

Thats kinda what i thought, Trade in on the same truck is 32,800. So i figured it has to be a pretty good deal. And all of the truck dealers around here want 38K+ for 07's with over 1,000 miles

The truck MSRP's for 46,900 I believe. Were paying just above dealer cost for it, minus rebates, minus GM loyalty and minus 2K from the GM card bennies. Total cost is right around 34,500 for it. Getting it from Heiser in west bend.

I need your guy's opinion though! I could go with an 04/05 for 26k and know its not going to drop much in value. However i dont have a warranty (unless late model 05) and its going to have over 30k miles.

I'd save myself 6k, but idk??

Its a toss up, for somone that has to worry about the emissions legality of things, id stay with a older one. For someone like myself who is registered in a non emissions county id go with the new one. My emissions stuff is history when i get the truck, the LBZ turbo back exhaust will bolt right up in place of the DPF exhaust and I can use HP tuners to shut off the regen cycle. No more b.s.

04/05 5.9L here i come then! And yeah they are pretty strict with emissions around my area.

maybe this is a dumb question, but how can you find out dealer cost on vehicles?

I've got quite a few Dealer Friends at my finger tips and maybe i should use them? Most of them are Ford dealers but maybe they will go to the auction and buy what im looking for! HMMMMM now thats an idea.

If they dont actually go to the auction or dont have any real pull at the dealership, i doubt that is going to help. Just go to van horn, they have great deals.

2 of them go to the auctions. But im just going to ask what they can do. I really dont wanna spend that kinda money 33K + and Van Horn usually only has new trucks with a few used.

The money i save is going for Supra parts!

thats a really good price. i was looking at a brand new 07 crew cab short box still had the 5.9 600 series in it for 47k. Leather, all power ect, i was able to deal to 41 but thats as far as it would go, with no trade.. yes At one point i was guna sell my 02..

I know this is a dumb question and i really shouldnt be thinking this way ....but i come from a very businessy (if thats a word) background. How much do you think that same truck will be worth 30k miles and 3 years from now? I dont want to lose a lot of money on it??

SmokinRAM114

well i dont know if it will hold the same as now but it has held high. i bought my 2002 cummins qd cab short box sport loaded but leather, 68k on the clock about year and half ago for 20,000. KBB was 25k. it was 5 years old, now its 6 years old and it still blue books for 20k. but you see them in condition like mine still going for 24k. the older "rattle box" cummins are hot. you can buy a 03-05 for the same price as a 94-02 thats in good condition. the new 600 series in the 06+ body style is holding high yet. i dont know if the resale is holding high on the older truck because people want to stay away from emmisions or what. i think in 3 years it would loose 5grand in value. i say this because rumor has it dodge isbuilding a v8 cummins like the psd and duraslap. who knows if that will be good or bad, most cummins people are like "yea cummins 6 in a row makes er go" i know id hate to see the i-6 go, and i probly would be one of them that would buy a 6.7 before a v-8 cummins.

lol new domestic vehicles are the biggest mistake ever unless you are getting some sorta blackmale deal on it or wholesale. Never again will i buy a new domestic, ive been burned 2 times in a row now... **** that, someone else can take the 5-10k Hit. Wait a few months, there will be used 08's with a few thousand on them for well under 30K man.

Well at least your starting out where someone would be jsut driving it off the lot. So you got that going. But a year from now your probably still gonna be a little negative unless your doubling payments.

heh issues at heisier WB? no way!

Lets just say it was bad communication and a misunderstanding between a few different parties. Nothing but good things to say about the management at west bend, they have there shit together.

Lotta great info, thank you! But i too, would HATE to see a v8. The i-6 has proven to make big power, be EXTREMELY stout, and worth every penny.

I think im going to try and find a nice 05 with 20-30k miles for $23-$25. I figure its already took the initial "value wack" and wont lose a whole lot more over the next few years.

That is actully one i was looking at. I love the leather interior. If i had to buy now i would probably go with this one. But i still have 2-3 months, so hopefully something else like this one will pop up.

Did leather come in the 04.5/05's??
