The DMV canceled my plate!!

I got a letter from the DMV last week saying that they canceled my F IN QWK plate! It could be found offensive and they are sorry for the inconvenience. They said I should have never been issued the plate in the 1st place. Good ol' tax dollars at work.

Ha! No! They sent me a temp tag good until April but that's about it. I am going to transfer one of my other plates and I want them to eat that cost. You think I would at least be refunded for this plate that got canceled...

I agree, its kind of lame its taken away but doesn't surprise me. Surprised you got it issued in the first place. I wonder the process that led to yours being taken away, if someone reported it, or if someone actually scans over vanity plates ;) . Hopefully thats not someones job.

I talked to the WI Special Plates Supervisor today and he is going to transfer MY SLO CR plates for me for free. I asked him why it was taken away and he said someone called it in and said it was offensive. Must have been some tight ass with nothing to do besides be an ass. The person wanted to remain anonymous. He said when they got the call he looked up the plate and there was no question it had to be canceled. He found humor in it and seemed like a decent guy. He told me to hang on to that plate.

it doesn't mean anything, but the 8 and the B on a plate look so close to each other its almost impossible to read it correctly the first time. So when someone says 'did anyone get the plate number of that car?" lol umm not if its
88B88B8 or something like that.
