New Truck......

So monday the 06 Vmax is gone. We are picking up our new 08 2500 HD Crew Cab 4x4 Dmax monday night. Could be the shortest run yet, had that truck less then a year.

I know there are a few Dmax/allison owners floating around on the site, i have a few questions about what the trans can and cannot handle. Also I need a REALLY good exhaust shop that can fab me up a delete pipe for the DPF that is in the LMM engines exhaust system.

I will also be coming to one of you HP tuner/EFI live owners to shut off the DPF sequence on the truck all together as It wont need to be there after its eliminated.

If you know of anyone thats looking for a meticulously maintained 06 Vmax silverado there will be a used one at Heiser Chevy/Cadilac in west bend next week. 20K miles.. :thumbsup

heh they just had this indentical truck when i was there a few weeks ago except in a 3LT with navi stickered for 53K. Nice choice though, I need a better job lol

Yeah, this one is being traded in.

Cant justify a 2LT/3LT/LTZ, i hate leather and the 2LT package is additional 2 grand and all you really get out of it that I would like is the bose with the 6 disc, thats the only thing this one is lacking that i'll miss from the other truck.

Was the right time to buy though, with the employee price/rebates/gm card discounts/owner loyalty cash, it is working out very well.

yeah its the bench, i prefer that to, i missed that from my dodge. I saw a model with the buckets and dont like it. My 06 had buckets and was great but the new interior with buckets just didnt "do it" for me. As far as the dash, beats me, Im pretty sure all the guages and controls are the same.

They are actually very diffrent, either way the increased storage dash is nice.

huh, thats cool. Didnt know there was a difference, I like the bench interior better still.

The only thing that pisses me off is that they pretty much just put a new body on the old frame. Still torsion bar suspension, i would have liked to see coils....
