I'm Dan and new on these forums. I have a 94 impreza that I've had since I was 15. it use to be a FWD 1.8 liter 110hp. I converted it to AWD and did a old wrx swap in it.

I've worked on cars since I was 12, and when I got my car i never took it to a shop, all the work was done by my self and the help of some friends, and brother. about 20% of the car is still orginal. everything that u could possibly unbolted has been taken off and replaced, fenders, doors, bumpers, grill, headlights, taillights, trunk, mirrors, all the suspention hubs crossmemebers gastank has been replaced and/or upgraded. the car has more work than I care to admit

Are u talking about andy? or the owner? do u know John? he's a huge saab guy and has a datsun too.

Its sorta an autocross car. I autocross it all the time but its under preped for the class its in which is SM. possibly this year or next I'm going to build a miata and prep it for STS2 class. The subaru will end up being a track car or just beater once I sort a few things out.

hey guys thanks for the warm welcome! in terms of power I don't have to much, I've spent a lot into the suspention, and if I where to do anything with power I'd prefer a lot smoother of a power band over more power.

the swap is an EJ20G, there really is no EJ20DET the "DET" designation is a nissan code, some people on ebay are ill informed when they list an Ej20 as such.

the motor came stock with a TD05H, all I have in terms of power is 4inch bellmouth going down to a 3inch exhaust. some pullys and a custom made intake. for power I'm just going to do bigger intercooler, injectors, fuelpump and some engine management. But the next car I'm going ot build I plan on being better than this one so this one is getting close to going another route. the next subaru I'm going to do is just find a salvaged Sti and more orless swap everything out of it and throw it in the new car. The only things that won't swap over really are the body panels and door panels everything else will drop in and bolt up.

Andy is one of my close friends. He took 3rd in nationals this year with the 240z. I seen your impreza before and its nice to meet you and the work done to it. Yea, a wee bit under prepped for SM.

John Kosmatka is the john I know. his plate saids 9k AREO lol. I know Andy C since I started autocrossing. I met him at Oscars a wile back.
