I dont want to hijack the thread but deggy does it to me all the time anyway. Anyone know of any places that polish glass? There are wiper marks on my Camaro from previous owners and I want that buffed out.

I just called my super cheap/super awesome/fast acting glass place in Racine and pilkington and ppg are both $227.32.

The stallis is a fair price IMO.

A good detailing shop would be the place to go, and if they don't offer it then they aren't a good detail shop.....:thumbsup

Exactly, for me it would be a good excuse to finally get a good buffer and some compounds.

One thing I want to mention is MAKE SURE you take it to someone that knows what they're doing. I've seen way too many hack jobs in the last few years, some of which have resulted in some very serious situations. I myself 'know' exactly how to do it (and do it the right way) but wouldn't trust myself because I don't haven't done enough of them......

Installing a windshield is like many other things, it's not what the person is doing it's how they're doing it. I'm not trying to scare anybody but cheaper is not always better, and a windshield is a fairly significant part of your car.....

[This has been my BCM community service for the day ===> :goof]

I had someone that was very reasonable and that was one of the best installers I'd seen but he gave it up. I'm still looking for somebody else to deal with if anybody has some feedback.....

its really not that hard to do it yourself.Long as you take your time and clean both surfaces and have the right materials.

C'mon man its a piece of structural glass that needs new trim to be installed correctly.

For $230 why bother ?
I rather help feed Jeff and the guys @, who have always been more then helpful with any question you have, will give you the same price over the phone as when you come in, who will order glass over the phone on good faith and who do awesome work in a timely fashion for a reasonable price. And he owns a 6,000 mile 96 Mystic Stang that he bought instead of a mint Monte Aero Coupe :thumbsup
