93 Z28 good deal???

I have a buddy selling a 1993 Z28 82,xxx miles 6 speed. Minor body damage, and needs starter. There is a dent about the size of a softball on the rear quarter panel. The door skins are peeling back when you open the door,but looks like a simple fix with some epoxy. He wants 2 grand, what do you guys think. Is it a good deal worth picking up?

Yeah that's not a bad deal for 2 grand if the drivetrain is in good shape. The T56 and related can be parted for $1500 alone if need be.

Exactly, on my old 94 Z28 I had to carry around a hammer for a little while before I could do the starter. Crawl under the pass side and give it a good clunk, sometimes it also helps if someone is in the cockpit turning the key while hitting it so you don't have to keep crawling underneath it over and over again. For sure its worth the 2g's they are asking.
