Had an article I freelanced to Dirt Bike magazine back in about 78 or 79. It was a political article about what the state of California was doing with our "green sticky" money which was supposed to go to build off road bike tracks or trails in the Santa Barbara area. The project was stomped by none other than Fess Parker who was famous for playing Daniel Boone in an old TV series. He owned an upscale trailer park (if there is such a thing) and obviously had some major pull with the local politicos. A "green sticky" was the registration tag that was stuck on your fender of your off road bike. The money from these were supposed to fund off road parks. Parker's collection of trailer parks was near the proposed site. I also had a Buick Riviera model shown in Car Modeller Magazine in the eighties.

My Datsun was in a Mag called Sport Z. My car was photographed for the brake upgrades & 5 lug conversion I was doing. The guy I bought all my brake and suspension stuff gave them my info, but I didn't have a subscription to the mag. They were supposed to send me a 2 year subscription and they never did, and I really never followed up on it. My friend has the mag and he showed it to me, and there isn't a photo of the entire car!! Oh well....................

Hey, the way that I see it, If Coop is doing well enough to have someone do some of the work on his car for him, then why not? A lot of the stuff that was done on my car was done by someone else or with help from people....and I give them credit for it, just like coop does.....dont be a hater because of it

I was in a Chevrolet magazine in a picture of the U.S. Camaro Club touring the Norwood, Ohio F-body asembly plant. It was in 1986, the last year F-bodys were assembled there. It was awesome being able to sit in the cars going down the assembly line during final assembly and testing. That weekend, I also got a first place for my 1968 convertible in the original unrestored class. :headbang

The thing is, Coop is skilled enough to do all the work done to his car. but he chose to turn to Marv who is a Guru, because A) he wanted everything perfect, and B) He could afford it. Everyone in this hobby has gotten help from friends and there is no difference with Coop. Marv has become a good friend of Coop's in the process, so it is a win-win situation. You want to rip on someone's car for being too well done? That's pretty shitty.

Right on Ron!! Coops car is badass and wins on track & at show which is what its setup for. The finished product is what matters.

Its only the top ford shop in the area that wrenched on it. How does it get better than that? When it comes down to it the goal is to have one badass ride and dont think that the owner doesnt slave over the damn computer night and day researching the piss out of the next modification and figuring out what the next look will be. This shit aint easy no matter how you slice it.
