I honestly don't know...I know that is a badd answer but, I have the reserve set at only a few hundred over what i paid for it and that was before I stuck a sheetload of time and quite a few bucks into it....It's a VERY strong boat and really is quite fast....I had her to 35 MPH on Big Cedar and she was still pulling....I think it would top out around 37 - 38 MPH....It's just a good basic boat with a lot of new work and parts on it.....I do know it drives real nice and the engine HAS TO BE TIP TOP in order to run mid to high 30's like it does....The guy I got it from last year knew the Johnson Outboards VERY WELL and he said it was a PERFECT RUNNER.....I took his word for it and once I got her out on the water I knew he was right on.....I prepped the motor for winter with fogging of the cylinders ect....

That's cool.

PM me a ballpark starting point if you wish. Maybe I can help you avoid the Ebay BS...

I'm gonna let it hang on ebay for the term.....I do know if it only meets reserve someone will be gettin a GREAT DEAL ! I researched what a 1988 Johnson 70 VRO goes for now and it's not far off from what my reserve is for the whole boat / motor / trailer package......If I would have not stuck SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much time into this thing I would be able to come up with a "buy it now" price but, since I stuck time and money into this thing I kinda have to try and recoup as much as the market will bare for it....I'm sure you guys understand.....

No problem. Good luck with the auction. I might toss a bid on there anyways to see if I can steal it... :thumbsup

Thanks for the understanding.....like I said I have so much time working on this thing....I had the COMPLETE inside gutted out and pretty much rebuilt the inside from the floor up.....I sealed and replaced over 100 loose rivets on the floor struts that were under the factory floor....She is tight and holds full power with no problems....Place a bid and see what happens.....I can say it's really a NICE BASIC boat for anybody......Lotsa power on a lil 15 footer !

I just lowered the reserve guys !

I have been getting a TON of interest in this boat !!!

The good man up above does not want me to have this boat. I keep getting outbid and the fact that it is winter is affecting my ability to bid aggressively on a boat. It's a nice boat. I hope you get what you want for it!! :thumbsup

You'll probably get an easy $4k for that boat on there. Wish I had the cash!

Thanks guys, I hope it goes well too !

I have a good deal of time into this boat...It's really just a simple basic fishing boat that is pretty worked over with new parts.....I really did not NEED to sell it but, I do not need two boats.....I have to say though one thing about it I DO REALLY like is she REALLY has some power .....It's a pretty light boat and that tip top runnin 70 HP really makes her fly.......If one of you guys win this boat please take it up to full power and let me know how fast she tops out at....I only had her to mid 30's with qiute a bit left before I pulled her back down....I wonder if she would do high 30's?????

Breecher_7
01-14-2008, 07:49 PM
I would doubt high 30's.... Sold a 18.5" 93' smoker craft with a 115 merc on it in pristine condition last year for $6,900.00. And it sat on the market a long time.... In not saying you wont get it, but 4K for this boat is a far reach from what I would consider it to be worth.

Whats your new boat that is on order?

I agree 100% .....I would be happy with much less than that....But, if it goes that high I will not complain....:banana1: I would bet it goes between $2500 - $3000 range?

I would hope so too !

There are 74 " watchers " on the auction so I would guess at least somma those people might be bidders later on...:D

I'm sure it will turn out just fine....I did not think it would even reach the 1500 hundred reserve as soon as it did....
