I have a bunch of old magazines that I have been 'collecting' on and off for the past 10 years or so. Most of them I have never looked at and even if one was read it is still going to be just fine.....

List of what I have:

Hot Rod - 30
Car Craft - 50
Chevy High Performance - 25
Road & Track - 15
Playboy - 30
Golf Digest - 25
Super Chevy - 25
Maxim - 40
Muscle Car Review - 10
Popular Hot Rodding - 50

Is there value to any of these...???

My brother used to save every magazine he got.
Probably had over 200 Entertainment Weekly's, almost every Electronic Gaming Monthly back in the day, Maxim & Stuff from the last 5yrs... and many more.

When my mom rented a huge dumpster to do spring cleaning, he realized after years of denial, that they weren't worth saving, and pitched 'em all. :]

If you have any old Maxim's, I'd say look for them on eBay first to see if there's any interest in them.

Usually the only ones that have value are people looking for certain celebrities or musicians. Besides obvious vintage Time magazine & such.

I threw all mine away as well, I only had a couple worth like $10, an old SPIN magazine from the mid 90's with Gwen Stefani on it, and somethin else with Nine Inch Nails on it... I kept those two :P

generally not worth saving. My grandpa had 30 years of national geographic, every mag... every damn one. And it was only worth $300 shipped. When you factor in 30 years of work, it's obviously not ******* worth it.

I keep the magority of mine. i have i'd bet 300+ Import Mags from the last 10-12 years. and i'd say 200 Hot Rods/Popular Hot rodding/etc.. from the early 90's. AS well as 100? 4wheel drive mags. I take some of the articles out and i can usually fit 2 or 3 articles plus pictures in a frame and i have them hanging in my room. But They are kind of neat to keep a round. I always have a few in the bathroom for when they are needed.

You could go through some of the car magazines and look at the "feature" articles. I've seen some go for crazy money on Ebay since car collectors like to have an article to match a vehicle they purchased.

And then sell the Playboy and Maxim ones to high school boys.

I think it's fun to keep some of the magazines that had good features for a couple years. I had some older import mags from the mid to late 90's, but when I moved I just chucked 'em. To me, it was fun to see the progression of the whole car scene.

The more recent ones can go to our fighting men and women. I just took a bunch of my mags to a VFW post and they will take them to the VA or send some overseas. Uh, no Playboys though, because the middle eastern countries are a little touchy about that...as in illegal to possess.
