Taking the Regal in on Monday to a local car audio/tint place for tint.

4 door car, 20% all the way around and a tint banner on the windshield, out the door going to cost me 310. Lifetime warranty against fading/peeling I guess.

Seems rather high.

Any input?

How good is thier work and also them fixing probs if there are any? In 10 years from now is that 310 spent going to have been worthwhile if it's still fine? or if by then its messing up and your not paying for it to get redone.

Between their two locations they do probably 100 tint jobs a month. At least thats what they claim.

I've seen their work and it's been hit or miss as far as i've seen. But that was a while back when they first started the service. I've seen poor examples of their work, and very nice ones.

I know they give you a guarantee in writing.

I dont know the first thing about tint pricing, but my T/A was tinted by Blackout back in 95 and its damn near mint still- even the hatch.

like you said, they have the warranty in writing, so Id say go for it. At least then you'll get longevity out of $$ spent.:thumbsup

where are you going? most places around here we all know by name. i had my GTP done at Kartunes, it was 140 bucks.

Extreme Audio in Manitowoc.

Well, it's not like I have any other options around locally so either way I'm having it done, just kinda probing to see what the going rate for a midsize sedan is.

I did it myself on my Mustang, and a few other cars, but I want better material than you can get at VatoZone, plus this way if its bad i just take it back rather than ******* with it myself.

Dunno Joe. Dont want to do it myself though either way. Could never get the hang of doing back windows, even with a good heat gun.

I dunno. Technically theres 8 windows to do, the front 2, the rear 2, the rear 1/4 windows, the back glass, and the windshield strip.

Seemed high to me, but I guess Im over a barrel if i want it done by someone else. Theres nowhere else around, and to drive to somewhere out of town is unfeasible.

Ill bring my lube along. KY Tingling, if you must know.

My GTO was 175 and our Mustang was also about 175.

35% all around on the goat, and 20% on the mustang.

If you think you are getting raped and you're still able to type, tell em to go harder cuz if you can still type, it's probably barely even sexual assault. :goof

But yeah, 310 seems quite high in this area but you live in the sticks so maybe they control the market...

As mant tint jobs as I have sold, farmed out, and or had done personally or for friends and family, I would say that there is no shop around that can compete with the quality of Scott's tint jobs (Blackout).

Sure, he's a little more expensive, but kartunes tint is going to turn purple, and almost every other shop can't get a job done without having tiny bubbles in the tint.

Blackout ftw

Problem is that there's nowhere else in town to have it done, nor anyone that i know of that has access to quality materials and can do the job perfectly.

Guess I'll just have to take it in the ass on this one.
