Usually the directions on the can tells ya. Its like half can in the oil, 1/4 in the fuel tank, and 1/4 in the vacuum hose?

I use it as fuel stabilizer (a tad more generously than the can suggests ...better safe than sorry) in my mowers, weed trimmers, power washer, ATV's and my Cutlass in the winter and in my snowblower in the summer. My friend is a lifetime small engine mechanic and swears by the stuff, even moreso than Stabil.

In my beaters, I toss 1/4 can in the crankcase, 1/4 can in the fuel tank, and suck 1/2 can thru a main vacuum line into the intake. Let the car sit 10 minutes and then run it for 15 mins. Oh, the smoke show it gives as it runs it's way out of the system :rolf ... For good measure, take it for a ride to get the rest out. The looks you get are priceless!!! It is supposed to eat up carbon deposits and really smooths out the idle.

Google it... the stuff's the real deal.

I completed my seafoaming today with the deep creep and the sucking it into the manifold with a vacuum line :thumbsup .... smoked like a bastard on startup :rolf found two exhaust leaks so that was a bonus...... runs smoother now with better pickup..... stuff really seems to work

I am scared to do this to my daily driver. 177k miles, I am worried something might break....the sludge might be holding this motor together.

lol i'm doing mine as we speak was blowing some crazy smoke until i killed it and now shes soaking for a few min. then i'll drive over to my buddies house and kill all the skeeters that aren't even alive yet. mines got 100600 on her and it burns oil so hopefully this will reduce the amoount it burns by reviving the rings a little bit.

i have done it before and got all the smoke. but i always wondered, is the smoke the seafoam burning, or is it the deposits burning up?

Supposed to be deposits.

I will always swear by seafoam. I run it through an OTC Vacuum intake cleaner drip attached to the vacuum hose to my brake booster. I'll leave the car running for about 30-45 minutes while it drips in occasionally bringing the rpm's up to about 2500 for about 20 seconds. Even a 2004 that has never seen it before can smoke out a block.

I can definitely feel a difference and throttle response.

the optimum vortex is at 1500-1700 rpm just learned this any more or any less and your not efficiantly cleaning the motor i just popped the pcv hose off and dripped it in i'm shure that wasn't optimum rpms either lol
