well what do you guys think.

i have been looking for another beretta and i may have found one. but the thing is i don't care for a running car.this runs and all and they want 1500 for it. i want to swap my current setup into this shell. so basicly im buy the car for the body, which is kinda expensive. but, i guess i could swap the donor bodys engine and trans into my black one? i dunno. i really wanty a clean body. i do like the indys but not the color. but i can always paint it. i have the money, but it will be one of those almost spending all my money things and having almost none left for back up. you know.

Car is a 90 5spd indy teal(eww). owner claims NO- rust at all. which if its true ill be able to have this car a hell alot longer and saves so much headache with having a rusted hunk of junk. also they live in appelton so its very close.

i have some pics..

What is the appeal of a beretta?

probably the same appeal as having an ITA integra... because he wants one.

there's a teal indy for sale at the rental place on Good Hope and Teutonia also fyi

90 baretta with no rust sounds more than a bit fishy..... he may not know of rust but I highly doubt this car has been garaged all this time....... so definitely worth checking the car out to see if it is indeed what he claims... if it is worth it...sell stuff u don't need off of whichever car .....or bust arse and swap the draintrains asap and sell the car u don't want..... can you drop the whole subframe on a baretta??? that'd make for a fairly quick swap :thumbsup

Judging by the faded ass paint, I'd highly doubt that it's rust free, but it looks clean.

My suggestion is to try and find a clean 94-96 Z26 and go from there if you're dead set on a Beretta.

Swap your combo into a Malibu ('98-03 or '04-05 Classic) No one would expect it!! :thumbsup

also looks like there is a decent size dent on the hood above the passanger headlight.

I'd think that for $1500 that thing better be CLEAN!

I dont get it, why a beretta in the first place.

btw I picked on a 95 rx7 roller (no motor, trans, or interior) for 1500. Its clean. I wouldn't pay 1500 for a beretta body.

My wife had a 95 Beretta about 10 years ago and I thought it was great car with he 3.1, it did not have that cool digital dash tho. Had real OIL PSI unlike my crappy ass Mustang.

That 90 looks really good for a 17 year old car, I dont see the faded paint, dent or rust.
Perhaps its in an area that the roads sare sanded instead of salted ?
Good luck.

Buy a 100 dollar beretta from FL or TX...or some southern state. It'll likely have faded paint, but it WILL be rust free.

i don't mind the faded paint, cause it shows it may have never been painted. most of us know about GMs crapy paint those years 88-90ish. hood im not worried it can be replaced. im really conserned with rust and the underbody and unibody as well as the rear quarters. having a project with a stong body will help me continue with the mondding. with my current car it looks better than it is and it dosen't look hot if you know what i mean. sometimes i just don't want to work on it cause i see the rust and it falling apart. its like building a kick ass house on swamp land or somthing. im going to look at it sunday..

ill drive past G.H and see if i see that indy at the rental place. thanks for the look out.

BTW im always looking for a 5spd beretta.

I choose the beretta cause noone else does anything to them and there is some stuff that you can do to make it fast. so it has potential, its just not alot fo people see it. and thats what i like about it. and it doesn't look that bad. i can't use a 94-95 beretta due to the ECU not being ablle to get tunned. in 96 yes you can buy an OBDII tuner, but no V6 came with a manual 94-96 and i don't want to deal with swaping. also in 2009 there will be no more emissions for pre 95 cars. so 88-93 are the years where i can tune my mem-cal. i perfer 88-90 due to the interior design. plus cops don't look at them like hondas for f-bodies or mustangs. you know.
so my selecting is very few.

3400 swap into a Malibu

it's the same as a 3100, not really anything of a swap, just like you can put a 3.4 where a 2.8 was..
