As the title states, need a good hard drive. Anyone have anything before I go out and look?

the system I have has none, so any is an improvement right now. 20 would be plenty, but even a 10 would be more than I'll need for the time being...

I have one of them. I think its the 10gig one. which ever size came with the premium system about 1.5 years ago is what I have. I still have some saved games on there, but otherwise its empty. no music on it or nothin. interested?

Get the regular 20 and get a USB external HD. Thats my best advice for you.

you can hook up an external like that? same joystick usb port? do you need any drivers at all? speak up Dan!

If it's anything like the PS3, you hook it up to your computer first, format in FAT32, then add the same folder system that is on the original drive.
Sky's the limit for PS3 so far, people are running 500gb external drives :]

I'm sure you can Google what you need to do for the 360, my fingers are pizza greasy :P

Thanks for the offer, picked up a used 20gig today at game stop. had to clear some bs out of it, but it works fine. Also got Forza2/Marvel Ultimate alliance 2 pack for $20!

When I go to specs though, the memory shows available memory is only 12 gig...anyone know why that would be? It only has one video stored on it.

Some memory is used for the system files & such, some is lost just because of some tech mumbo jumbo I won't get into.... but not 8gb worth :stare
Unless you have like a 7-7˝gb video on there.
