Hey, this is Nicks girlfriend, and he got a new computer for xmas and he hooked up everything right, but the internet doesn't connect, hes called up hp and his internet provider and they don't know what to do and he was wondering if any of you would be willing to help him out.
We all know he can't go without the internet for more then 2 days. :)
Call him if you can help, (262-949-4380) anytime between 8am and 2am.

if he's using a Router, which i bet a billion dollars he is, he needs to set up the connection, then Power Cycle the entire deal. aka turn off the Modem, and Router, for like 2 minutes, then turn it all back on again. the ISP shoulda told him that. otherwise its prob somethin funky.

well i got it figured out, Charter Cable was here for 3 hours running new cable lines, and gave me a new USB and Ethernet cable, as well as a new modem, now i'm online. They had to run the USB from the modem to the Tower, cause the Ethernet cable wouldn't stay lit? oh well i'm happy! New HP Computer and 19" Monitor = ME HAPPY!
