What do you guys think is the better suv? I haven't heard much about the toyota FJ, but it looks nice. At first I was against the H2, but after looking at it, gas mileage is the same as everything else in its class. FJ is already deamed to become a classic car (according to cnet). What is your take??

i rode in a H2..for a short time..i wanted one as well...rode with coop in his FJ....my opinon is the FJ is a little H2....the FJ rode like a caddy....don't know what his mileage is...but i fit comfortable in the seats and it does resemble the H2 in some ways in the interior .....if i had the choise...i would go with the FJ....paint the top the color of the body and be done....JMO...

Better SUV? Id say the H2 if you dont give a damn about fuel. Better off road, The FJ.

I would say a Jeep, H2 & FJ are caricature cars to me

What confuses me about the FJ is why they stuck the lights out away from the body of the vehicle. If you were to actually take it offroad, seems like those would get broken pretty quickly. Granted 99.9% of them never leave the road. But if you did...

test drove an H2 with a buddy and did not like it?!?! can't really put my finger on what i did not like about it, but it just did not do it for me. i plan on getting a land rover in a couple years when the expedition gets some mileage on it.

as for the initial question, i would go with the FJ if i had to choose.

If I were to spend that kinda cash. I wouldn't get either. I would go with a Wrangler 4 door or a rubicon.

are you trying to compare an H2? or were you really meaning the H3? the H3 and the FJ are in the same class. I would go FJ all the way. I would go H3 w/ the 5.3L v8 if they decide to make it. If you were really trying to compare the H2, then I'd bypass them all and just get an LTZ Tahoe since the chances of you actually going offroading are slim to none :)

H2 and FJC both have IFS, and I have seen both broken on the trail more than a few times.
The FJs aren't too bad, with a lot of aftermarket support, but they have more blind spots than a semi truck.
