Merry X-mas to me, car accident tonight in the Audi

SO I was on my way home from work and only about 4 blocks from home. I was in the left turn lane and the lgiht had turned green. I never even moved as I was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before turning. The intersection is really crappy as there is no median or divider between the left-turn lane and oncoming traffic. Well an old lady was not paying attention and drifted into my lane and hit me doing about 40 Mph. I was at a dead stop anyway but her car just contacted the front left corner of the Audi and then actually drove up my tire. Her car rolled and slid on its roof down the street. She was ok with a badly cut hand and that was about it so I was told. The car was drivable enough to get it to my house, but will have to be towed to the body shop and fixed. Some suspension work, new fender, mirror, paint, wheel and good as new. It could have been much worse. I am still a little shaky as it only happened about an hour ago. Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me. :(

Yea I hope so too, and that I dont get any. The cops were really nice and even they could not believe how it all happened.
Now it sucks cause we are getting more crappy weather and the Audi is a tank in the snow. Oh well

Atleast the response time on the Medics and Firefighters was 2 seconds as it happened right in front of their place, and jeez what a horrible accident.
That intersection does suck for how busy it gets there.

schitty way to start Christmas! Big time bummer your ride got wiped out, but you could have gotten muffed up, thank the good lord for keeping you safe tonight.
betchya that old broad pays about $300 a year for car insurance, cuz we all know the older you get, the better driver you become.

I hope she does, but I do too so its covered either way. I still can not believe how lucky I am that I didn't get hurt. Her car literaly drove over me, it was crazy.

not much you could ticket her for but operating left of center and inatentive driving.......maybe too fast for conditions b/c it looks like the roads are a lil wet....thats about it though and the to fast is a streach

This is why old folk need to be tested more regularly and not be driving if they cant. This is the worst part about the winter... I am not worried about myself at all as much as I am worried about the other idiots on the road. Its scary.
