well no crap the government doesn;t want stuff like this, taxes pay the bills! that is why the new alternative fuel boom will slowly be killed by regulations and taxes from the government, Ronald Reagen said it best

"The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I heard that story on Rush Limbow about a week ago, what a hoot.

Alot like the greedy azz government going after smokers who buy half priced cigarettes and don't pay taxes on cigarettes from Russia.

Big government don't ya love it?
What we need is to elect more democRATS and watch your paycheck disappear.

Chelsea Clinton recently discussed current events with a U.S. soldier.
She asked if, as an American fighting man, anything scared him.
He told her there were only three things he feared:

1) Osama

hahah

thats funny. he is still causing pollution. they have to tax fuel to help clean up the mess we make. if everyone did that then where would the money come from. of course you make some money on the side. but common if i was going to make money off that i would. would you?

its funny something that small they will target, instead of make one guy be the example. i think they could have done it a different way. its just like internet sales tax.

I wouldn't say the govt is against it. They just want their share. Had the guy went about it the right way this wouldn't be an issue.

Besides when in winter that recycled oil turns to fat and screws up his car, this old codger will probably be trying to sue someone for his mistake.

That's the problem. Whenever our greedy politicians see a new revenue stream they try to get their cut of it. Look at Wisconsin trying to tax sales on the internet. This will happen because they aren't getting their cut of the action(AKA legalized extortion).
Tax oil companies, we pay.
Tax hospitals, we pay.
Tax cigarettes, lower income people pay.
Mandatory health care, No choice but a lousy run government program. Paying for people who don't work.
They have a bad spending habit they need to feed.:fire It's worse than a fat kid in a candy store.
The can all remove their hands from our pockets. I for one know better how to spend or save MY money.

I spoke with Lt. Governor Lawton, who said that it is legal to run alternative fuels if you pay taxes on it. That is, if you go and pick up some old grease to run in your diesel, you need to pay all taxes that apply to the cost of a gallon of regular diesel.

Wisconsin Tax = 32.9 cents/gallon
Gov = 18.4 cents/gallon

If I was making my own algae-biodiesel, I'd pay the tax so that i could make a point as to where the rest of the money normally went. Fill my car and send a $4 check to Jim.

But I also bet that Doyle would give me a personal exempt because he hates big oil as much as I do.

Hahaha sure he will. I hope you were being sarcastic.
Doylebastard is the last person in the world that wants to give anyone a tax break. a couple of years ago when my company started using HSA medical. the feds gave us a tax deduction for our deductable but not the state of Wisconsin. Doylebastard vetoed the bill two years in a row. I believe they have included it in the budget this year, but Doylebastard still holds the frankenstien veto pen there.
Hide your wallets boys "I wont raise taxes" Doyle is coming for it.

Doyle only "hates" big oil becuase he just sees them an another well to tap. He's figured he's pretty much bled dry all the citizens of WI of all the money he can to fund his pet projects.

His hope is that the oil companies will give him some kickbacks just like the Casino tribes did to put that "tax" idea away. That guy should literally be hung.
