Anybody got one laying around? Mine was taken out by a disintegrating converter lock-up clutch. I'm looking for something to get me back on the road for the rest of the season. Thanks!

What year/car is it from? I need one that will bolt up to a 98-02 LS1. If the bell housing can be removed, that shouldn't be an issue, though as I can just swap mine over. If that thing works and it will bolt up to my car, consider it sold!

its lt1,but should bolt up fine.....same bellhousing pattern as th350 and th400. you will just leave one bolt hole empty.

I'm not sure what would all need to be replaced in mine. I haven't stripped it down yet but there is a ton of clutch material from the converter in it. I don't think it took out any hard parts in the trans itself, though. If you think it could be taken apart and cleaned out, I might be able to use some of your parts. Are you a 4L60E expert yet?

How many miles on it, condition, etc? I want to get the car running ASAP but not if it's just going to die in a month. If it's decent, I can pick it up this week. Where are you located?

That LT1 style wont work on an LS1, the bell housing obviously has diff holes and most older LT1's had the dust shield and not a circular bell housing like my S10 has which is an LT1 style 4l60E.

The newer 4L60E's u can swap the bell housings on, not sure bout the dust shield style LT1 stuff.

so ls1 doesnt use a traditional chev bellhousing minus one hole?
:confused

It uses a different bellhousing, but it still bolts up minus one hole. Unless everyone who has a TH350/400 on their LS1 was lying to me.

yeah it bolts up with the hole gone from the top, but that circular bellhousing is there for strength and rigidity. They tie the whole package, block pan, trans together for a reason... I question the wisdom and long time survival of just 6 bolts holding the the tranny to the back of an alluminum block LSx

Also im not sure if the plug in will be the same or have the same pin outs either.

Hmmm....well, it's not a permanent fix. I was just kind of hoping for something to get me throught the rest of the year. Maybe I can bring mine over and we can compare?

I have a fully built transmission that RPM trans just when through. I got $2400 in just the parts. You'd just need to bolt your bell housing and tail housing onto it.
