To early to ask if they are back on track?

Id say yes. They didn't dominate any of the two games they've played since the little fight. Nonetheless, the brew crew makes baseball awesome again!

I thought you were gonna say Alfonso Soriano was your hero. Oh wait.. he pulled his quad tonight and is probably done for a while. Glavine is making the rest of them look pretty silly tonight too thus far.

P.S. JJ Hardy kicking that routine grounder was pretty much what cost them the game today.

P.S. Matt Wise was pretty much what cost them the game today.

*fixed*

Wise giving up the 2 run homer made it 6-3 but then Cordero came in with no base runners on and seemingly had things under control. Retired the first 2 batters and all seemed OK. Then 2 walks and a single (the play Hardy kind of messed up) loaded them, he plunks Howard to force in another run, and then you know the rest.... :fire

Ryan Braun blew the game. That was an EASY end of game out. Thats error allowed the 2 runs to score and tie the game. The guy has some good offense....but 16 errors in 63 games is crazy. It's what will cost him rookie of the year.

FWIW....

He's #7 on MLB's top 10 list for fielding errors....all of the top 9 have played 98 or more games (#10 played 86 games......leader has 21 errors)....except for him.

It's really starting to piss me off.

There's no doubt that Ryan Braun needs work on his defense. This time it bit him and the team in the ass and cost them the game.

But, truth be told, they brought him up for his bat, not his glove, and being at 3B with JJ right there is the safest place for him.

He'll get better.

There's no way he's going to lose ROY because of fielding errors.

That would be like a pitcher losing the CY Young because of his batting avg.
Well, somethin like that :P

Either way, unless he has a season ending injury, I'll put money on it.

Might as well book ROY to Braun right now, even if he slumps, which he is due for, his numbers will be pretty damn impressive. He can make some good plays in the field and will get better, I'll take those errors as long as hes hitting like A-Rod ;).

Brewers are feeling the pinch and just not putting together complete games. Cubs are enjoying the momentum and all people keep talk about the Cubs catching up, I almost rather have them take the lead at this point and have the pressure on the Cubs instead. Because we all know the Cubs are good to choke sooner or later :D. Long way to go though.

I saw some great C.U.B.S. signs on tv Sunday... wish I could remember them.

I think one was something like:

The reason why the brewers lost yesterday was because of pitching not because of fielding. If Wise wouldnt of allowed 2 runs and corderro 3 they would of won.

I agree. For whatever reason our bullpen has nights where they just refuse to throw strikes. Drives me nuts watching them get behind counts.

i don't understand the excuses made for the bullpen....how they are wore out and tired? they get paid all that money to not have themselves in enough shape to pitch every other day if need be? guess i just find that disturbing....sucks that the offense does what it has to to win then the pitching blows it for them...starters are doing well for the most part....the bullpen is one hell of a roller coaster
