a thought I've had for awhile...since the Stallis PD isn't real happy with the whole culvers scenerio lately, why not arrange a gathering like once a month or something at another local spot? Do it at like 7 pm so you can hang out for like 2 hours and still head out to highway 100 if you so choose? Might be fun also to patronize another local business and try some new burgers/ice cream.

So here's the thought:

How about arrange for a random, impromptu gathering at a local burger/custard joint this saturday night? Get some classic muscle out...encourage some new attendees to come out away from the kiddies at the highway 100 culvers.

This could become a weekly thing if people so choose if its a hit??? There are a ton of cool custard stands around with good parking that'd be happy to have the business also.

Some suggestions:
- Nite Owl diner on Layton Ave by the airport: good food, pretty cheap, nice parking lot, old skool

- Gilles: good custard, old skool.

- Kopps on Bluemound. Parking is tight unless you use the lot to the west. Good custard, cool location.

What are your thoughts?? Just trying to come up with a solution since its obvious the culvers thing has gone a bit sour.

I think it's the best idea I've heard all year...!!! I tried doing this a few years ago with some friends but nobody seemed interested......

I like going up to HWY 100 as much as anybody but I don't see why another 'location' can't be agreed upon to 'hang out'. All it takes is a small group of people to get something going, and not having to worry about getting arrested for walking out to your car after buying a burger is a big bonus too.....

A couple more locations that come to mind are A&W on 27th across from Rosen Nissan/Kia and Omega on 27th and Rawson.....

The Nite Owl would be cool, the owner's sons are in the "Cheaters" car club which is old school street rods and 40's/50's cars they have their shows there typically. I'm sure they wouldn't mind us stopping by on a Saturday, or someone could go talk to the guy ahead of time and set it up.

I think we just go about this in another way.....we just pick a spot and show up. Pick a time and go. Its no different than your family bringing a big group to OCB for Aunt Gertrudes 60th.

i know this is about 30min from the Hwy 100 Area. But Annies Burgertown on Saturdays in Elkhorn Wisconsin has a "cruise in" night and you get discount on food if you bring a car. i know it is kind of a haul but it's a for sure no hassle place.

In the valiant ( 4speed manual 1:1, 3.90:1, 24 inch tires) I've got no probs heading down to chicago from the NW side of Milwaukee...it's just something that takes getting used to on your part. I keep the speeds b/w 65-70mph (~3500 rpm) tops...although I much prefer 55mph (~3000).

At first it used to really bug me...but you get used to it...I'd have no problems if it weren't for the driveshaft being somewhat out of balance. Used to not be an issue with the 2.94's, lol.

The reason I think it would be a rather good spot is because every Tuesday, bikers you might know of this, they do something called Two Wheel Tuesday. Not uncommon to see 200+ bikes in the parking lot. Brookfield cops tollerate the bikes, why not the cars? Only thing is the owner owns the one off 124th and the one in west allis. Did the owner have beef with cars on h100, or was it just the west allis PD?
