Then help my brother pay for college, he only charges 50 bucks and does a damn good job. He does it for Hall Chevrolet and Hall Mazda during the summer to pay for college. He goes to Madison, so it isn't cheap and needs the money alot more for this next semester then he has before.

Alright guys I am going to post a schedule here and you can sign up for a time slot that is best for you. You'll recieve a call when the car is done and ready for pick up. Drop off is at Hall Chevrolet at or before specified time you sign up for.

Dave, you pay for the ClayBar and he will do your entire car exterior and interior for 60 bucks. If I can get two more people for interior only on the 11th Jason can do 3 vehicles total, one at 9am, one at 11am, and Waynes at 1 PM.

50 bucks he will go over the paint with the buffer and some wax, windows, bumpers, etc. I am not sure how he does the shampooing right now, I think he takes it to Hall Chevy and uses their machine. The interior he does carpets, seats, windows, dash, door panels, etc.

If the exterior is rough ( like my truck, pretty bad ) he charges an additional 10-20 depending on how long it takes him. PM's sent

Sounds like a cool deal. What if he did only interior no outside? A very dirty interior. My new Saturn is horrible.

I wouldn't mind my GTO getting done as long as it's not abused to hell in the process.

abused to hell? If you are worried about it you are more than welcome to stay and watch the work get done. We have lawn chairs :)

Yoo, he uses 3m buffing products and if you supply the wax he will us it otherwise he uses whatever we have. Currently its turtle wax and I think I might have some meguires left

no I meant like 165mph freeway runs to "make sure it's dry"

Our mustang DOES need a good wax, though. I'll talk to the old lady.

Your car will go 165? Thats fast! No need to try it though ;-)

My brother is not much of a car guy, he likes looking and cleaning them but thats about as far as it goes.

it ran into the 160mph governor stock, and it wasn't out of breath, no limiter anymore, and it has a few mods, i don't care to try to see what it's terminal velocity is anymore.

wow

How long did it take to get there?

Poncho
07-31-2007, 04:24 AM
not all that long. it wasn't creeping to that speed, it was still moving. it accelerated fairly quickly thru 4th gear and that ended @ 145, then it accelerates, but obviously with less urgency as i'm already in 5th, the 1st overdrive. Ungoverned in Australia, they are said to top out @ 177mph stock.

I am interested for 11th for interior only. I would have two cars to drop off. However, I am not 100% for that day as I have a possible freelance gig on that day. I should know more by the end of the week.

You can drop them both off at the same time if its easier for you. Let me know.

Updated the first page, have room for one more car on the 11th for interior.

Jamest, still interested?

I'll just have the interior for one car done please for Aug. 11th.

What exactly does he do with the interior? My interior is actually fairly clean but the seats and carpet need a THOROUGH shampooing with something like a Bissel that will really suck the dirt out of the fabric, not just the stuff you can buy in a can that you rub in and scrub out.

pOrk

He uses a shampoo machine at Hall Chevrolet to go over seats and carpet. He cleans out the vents, dash, gauge glass, center console and headliner if it needs it as well. Also the door panels.

Jamest, you have a PM.

I don't think this is going to work out, I am spending twice as much time keeping this in order as it is going to take my brother to clean vehicles. Every 5 minutes I am getting a PM with canceling, re-signing up for times, changing times, etc.

I guess we will do it this way. If you are SERIOUS about wanting your car detailed, you can paypal me the money ahead of time or you can pay out the nose and have it done somewhere else. Those that are signed up right now will work off the original agreement.

Wayne, see you on Saturday.
