Newb question...

Does BCM.com have a car show every year or type of gathering?

If there is enough interest, I most definitely would put together another show specifically for and hosted by BCM just like I have done in years past.

I have spoken with a few members about it this year and really it just slipped my mind to organize something.

I have multiple options for locations for a show, and also if we would like to do a fall cruise to Door County, I have a location for a get-together in Green Bay as well.

Depending on the response to this thread, I'll throw a couple options together and see what everyone says. :thumbsup

I'm not sure where it was held last year but my father went with his GN and said it was one of the nicest shows he has ever gone to. I wanted to go but couldn't so if there was one this year I'd definately go, no matter what I'd bring......

So where was it last year...??? Because I remember pics of it being on grass with some mighty fine women posing on everyone's cars......

It was at the old Stay Tuned store in Franklin. I no longer work for Stay Tuned, and I'm not sure that they have the right facilities anymore, but I have better options and ideas :thumbsup

Thanks for the compliment by the way, Andy and I put a lot of work into last years show, I'm glad somebody remembers it as one of the best.

:rolf:rolf:rolf:rolf:rolf and I have the approval, so it's no problem. I just don't want to take the time and effort to organize it if people aren't going to come. We'll see what the response is, and then I'll shock them with my idea :rolf

Hahaha yeah. The company I work for owns PineLawn Memorial park, where the memorial day car show was (and I unfortunately, had no knowledge of)

But the good news is, we can use it whenever we please, and there's more room than we could ever use (and have no worries, you won't be parked near, next to, on top of, or below a dead person).

I think its perfect!

GRAMPS SS

plenty of room is the word...that last show they had there had more then enough room.the grassed area worked out great....the show was a big sucess.all that were there wanted another show there...and it was sooooo peaceful

i'm in to help out where i can....

Badass Wayne! Well I suppose I should find out when everyone would like to do it.

I don't want to wait too long, however I have learned from my past experience that we have to give people enough time to plan for it. I'm open to any and all ideas. As long as we have the place to host it, we've got it easy from here.

Car Guy
07-25-2007, 11:53 PM
Well it was given away with Wayne's comment of "people are dying to get in", saw that one from a mile away.....

Anywho, I really think sometime after Labor Day weekend in Sept. would be perfect. Summers are sooo busy the way it is, and you can get some really nice weather in the fall for a show.....

Just my 3 sense, and if there's anything that I can help with just let me know.....:thumbsup

For the people who aren't familiar with Pinelawn Memorial park, it's right at the corner of Capital and Mayfair, very easy to get to.

So in short, of course you can.

No pork. You have never built, designed or created anything that I respected, so keep your shit out of my show :goof

There's a lot of parking on pavement, you should have no problem at all.

Well I posted a poll thread asking what day would work best but labeling it as a 'BCM' Car Show got me in a little trouble. I didn't check with the proper people before using the BCM name but hopefully one way or another it will work out......

Wonderful idea, but having trophies at a show sponsored by a car club or mainly attended by a car club is a show that will die fast.

Too much BS spawns from the trophy hunters crying when their 1992 Taurus Wagon with 29" rims doesn't win the hottest domestic category, and the club is blamed.

The show is gonna be a flop if it is planned last minute. Your going to need a month notice to get a decent turnout so if you guys are gonna do it it should probably be set into stone soooon

I'm aware of that. I've had a terrible past 2 weeks, I haven't had time to focus on myself and Kelly let alone a car show. I'll contact Andy this next week and set it up.
