OK so my last rant was the fact the HDTV box I bought from
Best Buy was a lease and I had to mail it back to Direct TV
or I would be hit with some crazy several hundred dollar fee.
I'm out $100 for going thru the effort to upgrade with them.
OK so here comes the punch line: I just got a $237 bill for an
early contract cancelation. Nowhere on my old bills nor on the
Best Buy receipt does it say your entering a contract! If you
are watching HDTV with Direct TV you are in a minimum 2yr
contract, you did not sign for it its just how they roll.
This on the heels of Direct TV paying the State Of Wisconsin
$115,000 for the exact same illegal practice!! I'm starting to
understand why freaks walk into building with bombs straped
to there chest's, they just wont take it anymore!!!!!!!!!! Thanks
Direct TV, looking forward to have this $237 unpaid bill on my
credit report for the next 7 yrs.....no way Im paying those cons.
