New truck

Got rid of the little ZR-2 for something a little bigger. Man I LOVE this thing. I just took some quicks pics...truck is a litle dirty (as a truck SHOULD be :D).

And as a bonus it came with a complete Borla stainless exhaust system. :banana1:

Ahhh.....that brings back memories......I just sold mine a few weeks ago. Just under 35K on the clock.

First off, Ditch the 20's, it will eat up ball joints with them.
Second, Crank the torsion bar adjusting bolts 5 turns on each side
Third, Get it re-aligned
fourth, Put a set of 285/70/17's on it
Fift and finnally, DITCH the 3.92's and go to 4.56's, makes a WORLD of difference on that truck.

I miss the dodge in alot of ways, the touchy steering on it will take a while to get used to and the brakes are much better then chevy products as well.

I miss the dodge in alot of ways, the touchy steering on it will take a while to get used to and the brakes are much better then chevy products as well.

Here is the light bar, I found it. T304 stainless, Tig welded, Bolts to factory locations. Its yours for free, id rather see it get used then get turned to scrap. Fits 4 lights.

I got rid of it because it was time for a new vehicle, have a bad habbit for keeping a vehicle for a year or two......

Max Package is as follows, sure im missing a few things
Vortec 6.0L V8 SFI engine
Engine oil cooler
4-speed superduty automatic transmission
Transmission oil cooler
heavy-duty automatic locking rear differential
Handling/Trailering Suspension Package
4.10 Gears
heavy-duty trailering equipment

Now back to the dodge!

You will be LUCKY to see 13mpg with factory gears.......

My gas milage actually increased when i went to 4.56's and the larger tires. With the steeper gears it works much less to get rolling. The overhead display lies like mother. I averaged 300 miles to tank before gears, about 330 after gears and tires. I ditched my 20's immediatly because gas milage with those was even worse because there so f'n heavy.

Common Issues with that truck:
ETC Acts up in cold weather, truck will start and have NO throttle control. There is a TSB for this, they need to replace the Throttle body.
Power steering racks are notorious for leaking, mine went at 20K

There is alot of other little piddly stuff, but that is the big stuff. I will get you the link to the TSB bulletins for the truck.

How many miles are on it?
Its an 05 like mine it has a 7yr/70000 factory powertrain warranty, dont forget to get that transferred.

Light bar is awaiting pickup! I actually still have the lights if your interested to, those will not be free though.

haha, i have pretty much the same truck but without the srt-10 hood. im currtently looking for a shop to install my 4.56 gears and my locker. i love the look of the 4 lights, but i only have 2 behind my grill. awesome truck man, enjoy it!

If not, id call dodge and tell them you have the wonder ram. Mine NEVER got over 13 and no one ive ever talked to got over 14mpg.

No...16.5 from my math...and I've been beat'n on it a little. I actually know a few people who get around the same too. 80-90% of my driving is all highway.

It's really hit or miss. The gas mileage is really all over the place for people.

And heres the warranty....in case you were wondering...lol...it's a Dodge certified pre-owned truck.
Window sticker say 96 month/80,000 miles also.

haha, no im not a dope, but i think the guy before me was... when i bought it there were two holes in the support perfectly spaced that would appear to be for lights. i made my own bracket, but after looking at yours with four i may have to copy that design. if i had done any differential work before id attempt the gears my self, but i havent so i guess ill leave it to the pro's or at least someone who has done it before.

That certified pre-owned warranty is pretty cool! Thats better then the factory one. As far as the gas milage.... I dont know man. Ive been on the dodge forums for quite some time and if you talk to the people they will tell you they only get like 360 miles per tank and that is no where near 16mpg. I think alot of those people are full of it. As far as your driving style, I dont know......my drive to work is about 95% highway, cruise at 65-70mph and I never saw better then 360 miles to a tank and I was on fumes when I filled up. It just doesnt sound right, but hell, if your getting that, more power to ya. I would be happy as hell with that milage!
