Its a candy coated turd! lol its a sweet piece of shit in the end lol

Thats cool that is liquid cooled and EFI now. The looks dont shit for me though.

I will still go with a VRSCR in the end. I like the look of cruisers.

Looking at the site that bike looks like it would be uncomfortable for taller riders still. My lightning I was only able to ride for about an hour and a half then my legs would start cramping up. I wouldnt mine taking one for a ride at next years demo days I doubt it will be anything to really BRAG about

Don't like Buell's eh?

Bad expirence? or just don't care for them?

My Buell 2000 S3T has been a good bike. I have almost 20,000 miles and have never done any major repairs.

That's the first Buell bike I've ever seen that I like the looks of. In the past they always looked unfinished to me. Like the last station on the assembly line quit, but they put the bikes for sale anyways.

I dont like how they look, I dont like how they are engineered, I dont like there performance (or lack there of) and I dont like how they ride.

In my eyes, they are garbage......

WOW! I guess I would disagree with all that except the power.

The 1200cc engine in my Buell is only about as fast as a 600cc jap bike. I have managed to eek out 117 hp and 98ft.lbs. out of it. This was on the dyno at Hal's HD.

Whilst I applaud them for the LC/EFI combo, that is one FUGLY b*tch.

I love Buells, but this one isnt something I'd like to be seen on. Ill take the Long XB12Ss.

Do you realize what you just said? 1200 as fast at a 600....this makes my point for me. Buell/harley needs to update there engine technology. Compare that 1200 to a TL1000, RC-51, Aprillia RSV 1000, they are all 1 litre V-twins and the Buell will be far in the dust from every aspect from Looks, to handling, to power.

Buell just needs to step up there game or get the hell out of the market there trying to appeal to. This is much like Toyota trying to build full size trucks (timebombs), stick to what your good at (with harley thats not much but ill give them the bennifit of the doubt)

From a person that actually expects alot from there bike, I give the buell a negative rating. They are fun to ride, but they have no performance and dont hold a candle to any other bike in there class.....

The motor in tube frame buells is a sportster 1200 engine... it has been around forever. It is a uber-low tech engine & trans. I think it is amazing that it can keep up at all.

I liked the bike because it is different, I have been riding for 12 years and have had a number of bikes. The Buell has been a solid ride that woops up on all the harley guys I normally ride with! And sounds nice too!

All in all you are right about it being "outclassed" by other bikes, I know there are better options but I can 't seem to get rid of it.

I dunno, HAL's gave me some Dyno print-outs a while back, I will try to dig them up.

The Buell has a modified version of the XL, in My 2000 model it came with; LWFW, Fuel injection, Thunderstorm heads and a Buell specific cam. I added; Buell "race" headers, V&H muffler, Buell "Race" airbox/filter, Buell "race" ECM, larger bore throttle body and a Power commander.

even with the t-storm heads and much larger cams, most guys are lucky to get 105-110 from 88" big bore xl.

I think back in 2000 Buell even marketed the bike as having 101 hp. I think I have a brochure as well.;)

I rode my buddies 07 Busa in May up at the Dells and loved it, though the front wheel starts lifting up at just 25mph with me on it :thumbsup

My friend brought in the brochure for the new buells to work today, he got it at Elkhart lake this weekend he said they had one of the new ones there but it was just for looking at. He also said it looked better in person than the brochure.
