For sale, As-Is, a Silver 1997 Honda Civic DX 2-Door coupe, 5-Speed manual transmission, Air Conditioning, Factory AM / FM stereo with cassette player 176,000 miles. $3,300.00
The car is in very nice condition for being 10 years old. It has a few small digs and light scratches which is normal for a car that is 10 years old. The AC blows nice and cold and the factory stereo work perfect along with the cassette player. The interior is very, very clean with no tears or rips and the carpeting is also in fantastic condition. It still has the factory floor mats, but the driver’s side mat is showing some wear.
I just installed new front brake pads and rotors, also rear brake shoes and drums. The passenger side axle shaft had a torn CV boot, I took the axle shaft into A-1 Drive Shaft and had it rebuilt.
In the past 2 years the following items were replaced by the previous owner: battery, alternator, timing belt, water pump, exhaust.
When I purchased the car the “Check Engine” light was on. The car had been taken into a Honda dealer and was told that the O2 (oxygen) sensor needed to be replaced. I replaced both O2 sensors with used O2 sensors. I have driven the car for about 150 miles and the light has not come back on. I took the car for an emissions test today and it passed with no problems.
The tires still have some life in them but they are some what loud, I would guess that could be from not being rotated over the years. I priced 4 tires at Sam’s Club and to replace them with Dunlop tires the total charge with mounting and balancing is $225.00 (with out tax).
The car is stock and has not been modified. I have been driving the car daily back and forth to work. I originally purchased this car for my son, but wound up buying another vehicle for him.
