Well since I can't get rid of the car I might as well keep it and deal with some issues it has since I will have a garage to work in and have all the time in the world.

As some of you know that after raced and beat the bike (Crotch Rocket), old WhiteThunder developed a nice ticking sound from the right head at the next traffic light.
Could it be from Collapsed Lifters?, Weekend Valve Springs?, Bent Push Rods? Who knows.

Anyways, I'm looking at some new Valvetrain parts and get the oil leaks fixed for the good old LT1. So I guess I'm looking at doing at budget build for say that'll take some time to do.

- Comp Cams Bee Hive Springs [Would LS1 spring work, I heard some one use them in a LT1]
- Chrome Moly Push Rods (What Length?)
- 1.6 or 1.7 RR's?
- Timing set?
- What brand set of Push Rods?
- Hand ported intake and heads (I can get a 9C1 heads for cheap)
- Cams's im looking at.... CC306 CC503 or a GM847.

Well these are some off the things I'm looking at getting done possibly... But as far as for the bearings, well I'll just leave them stock till the motor goes. (I'm going to relearn how to do it myself)

Wanna give me some advice in some good parts go for it.

I have a complete of LS6/LS2 Yellow GM Beehives. Around 15k on them, rated to .575 lift, great shape, would be cheap and useablw.

I would just calll Advanved Induction and have them set you up with a complete set up. As far as the cam they will grind you one. I would do nothing but a custom ground cam. My car is on there page of results. Half way down under-- Matt 383 stroker. There stuff does really well.

Postive the "tick" isn't just a blown exhaust manifold/header gasket?

Check your header/manifold gaskets first.

Check your header/manifold gaskets first.

if its the same tick it had before,im guessing a lazy lifter or the valve guides are loose.

Some guy sold me an LT4 hotcam kit so I have a bunch of stock lifters and rockers if you need them for a quick cheap fix! :D

Will these work with a CC306 cam?
