Some question why GM is trying to introduce cars to the Chinese market. This is the reason why it will work.

Some like German cars because of their 150 mph autobahn crash rated.
Chinese will like GM for there crash ratings, despite the extra cost.


Related, not a hijack:
P&H in Milwaukee is faring well against China in heavy mining equipment because the American manufacturing attitude includes consideration for all people. In China, if the crane takes out 100 people, who cares.
