98-99 5 speed trans for J-body

Looking for a 5 speed tranny for a 98-99 cavalier/sunfire. Might also work with one out of a alero/grand am.

The same Isuzu tranny came in all years from 95-99 for cavalier/ sunfire.... just to let you know. I believe half way through '99 the GA's and Aleros were equipped with the getrag.

Something had to be differnt because the 96-97 trans are one part# 98-99 are one and 00-02 are another.

i think either 00-01 was the first year of the 2.2 ecotec...that could be it... i know my friends 02 cavalier has an ecotec motor.

Maybe slight gear ration changes...but I doubt it. As far as I know they are all the same (96-99)


edit:

The different part numbers are different gear ratios. The 2.2 OHV cars had different gears but the same tranny.
