i live in a pretty rural area and the gas station in my town where i get my gas does not see premium fuel buyers often. i noticed that when i get gas there that the car runs like crap. it will chug and will not accelerate the same as when i get gas at a bigger station. on top of the performance loss, my exhaust tips are BLAAACK and there is even BLAAACK on every joint of my exhaust system. i guess my question is what do you guys think about running some injector cleaner through the car and maybe throwing a little octane booster in when i get gas there? i know some people say injector cleaner is bad and that octane booster does more harm than good, but i looking at my exhaust system i can't imagine what the inside of my engine looks like:wow what about seafoam?

Like Blown GTP said, Barry Grant products are awesome, along with Justice Brothers. They're both in the same category of 'the best', seafoam is OK along with a few other 'over the counter' products but if you want the best resluts go with something a little better.....

For octane booster I really don't think that stuff makes that big of a difference, like many other products. I've heard it both ways for years but why do you see people paying 4-5 dollars a gallon for 110 octance if they could just pour in some 'magic juice' for a whole tank of gas. I think 'too good to be true' is the way you have to look at that.....

I can get Justice Brothers stuff fairly easy, I tried calling Barry Grant to see if they had a 'salesman' local that I could talk too/deal with but never really got anywhere with them......

DO NOT PUT OCTANE BOOST IN YOUR CAR!!!

I used 104 + for 3 tankfuls, then started to misfire at 4,000 + rpm's. WTF??? Took into Griffin Ford-spark plugs were ALL bad!! Dude calls me at work and says "what type of additive have I been using" I said 104+ . Not COVERED!!!! B/C I added an additive it was NOT going to be covered per FORD. He did anyways, said b/c I took good care of my car. Ran it through as a warranty issue. Then he showed me the invoice, close to $300 beans. He kindly reminded me to not do that again.

Pretty good service from Griffin Ford!

If you want some octane booster, get the REAL sh!t. :)
Buy some Torco Unleaded Race Fuel Concentrate. It says unleaded, but your O2 sensors will still be affected if you dont run a clean tank of gas through every once in awhile. You can usually find it about $12-$15 per can, and depending what octane you're shooting for, it is probably your best bet. :thumbsup
Each can should raise 20 gallons of 93 to 100+ octane, 15 gallons to 105 or something, etc....

the only reason i was thinking about using the octane booster would be if i need to get gas from this station. if i run it too low i am stuck getting gas at the one next to my house. i have heard horror stories about octane boost, that is why i asked. looks like i will be calling some places looking for the BG stuff, sounds pretty good from what i have seen! as for racing fuel, i do have a station close that has that, and i do love the smell:goof:goof

Here, type in your zip code and find it near you.:thumbsup

You want the duel additive odviously. It's expensive for an additive but it works wonders. When my knock sensors were shot in my car and it would buck uncontrolably, this would fix the issue until I filled up next. I was amazed.

Yea, if you can wait to have it shipped, ebay is the best and lowest price place to find it.
