Well I went to the best G-body Junkyard in the area today while it was a cool 350 degrees out with 110% humidity. :goof I was looking for a front bumper for my wagon. They actually had a Cutlass G-wagon there, but the chrome was peeling. Found a couple 4 doors but nothing straight and clean. My friend and I looked for what he needed and I found a straight clean bumper on a rack already pulled off. SCORE ! I also found the end caps for the door pulls and a couple of the shock/lift things for the back window with some life left in them. Price for everything was $52.:headbang
$50 for the bumper $2 for the end caps and he threw in the lift/shock things with the bumper.

**BONUS** the bumper has the alum support:banana

So what junkyard in the area is the best? :D

Sounds like a good day! I need to finally go somewhere other than Al's, maybe next weekend.

Here's a pic of the crappy bumper, obvious why it needed a new one:goof

I thought all the G-body guys knew:rolf
It's the one in Sullivan on hwy 18. I saw montes, malibus, cutlasses, cutlass and buick g-wagons(one each) IIRC gp's too. There is still a shell of an 84 H/O (rear is Looooong gone). Saturday they're open 8-1pm they're open on Sunday too, or at least they used to be.

Are the prices reasonable?

I think so, $50 for a bumper seemed good to me.
My friend bought a brake booster for a s10 blazer for $30

They still have some 60's/70's stuff in one side. I like to wander through there once in a while:headbang

Yeesh :D . Sounds like fun though, hopefully this coming Saturday....they charge at all to walk through? I hate those type of places, I like to just walk in and wander around aimlessly.

No charge, just the usual stop in at the office kinda thing.
As you walk in cars are to the left, trucks off to the right.

As you take 18 though sullivan it's on the way back out of town towards jefferson. There are some cars out front but the actual yard is behind a fence.

Your wagon brings back memories of my dad's 1982 Olds Delta Cruiser. Originally was a diesel, but it was swapped for a 350.

Hopefully they don't mind when I tell them I'm just going to look for spare odds and ends, not something specific :durr .

I used to go there all the time back when I lived in jefferson....it is not just g bodys there, byt they have a lot of cars there from the 80's period...hell there was even an 85 shelby charger there with mint seats.....they have cars scattered all over, you just have to like to hike through there.
