Looking for a little help with my new build, I am looking to restore my 67 SS 396 this summer, I want to start with the carb/ intake.

What do you guys think is a good carb/intake setup for a street 396?
Not looking to go crazy on the motor just something I can start and drive to shows and stuff

The stock carb is a 750 corrct ?

Thanks

Hopefully Ron or Chris will chime in here, they are very knowledgable about such set-ups.

You need to supply more info.....Cam, heads, what ring/pinion, etc...that will make a prognosis more accurate.

Yes the car is a mild build, It is a factory 350hp 396, .30 over and it has a cam and some head work done, but very little,
Just a good setup for a street car

if you want to go with a 750 i have an Edelbrock 750 for sale Pm me if interested. i have heard of 750's sometimes being to big and drowning the car with gas. but if you know how to tune a carb i guess you can avoid that.
