Softball Tonight

Game is at 7:15 tonight and we are playing a team called Allied. They are 1 and 3 so lets win this one!

I also need one or two subs to show tonight, my only two subs that may be able to play tonight still havent contacted me to let me know if they can or cannot play.

First sub I get a hold of will be playing the field the other one will be DHing.

We have a good shot for a win tonight but I am going to need another person in the outfield. Konkel has a huge outfield and three people just isnt enough to cover it.

Also, if anyone wants to get in some batting practice before the game I'll be at the cages next to the field at 6pm......

Should be a good game tonight. I am excited to play because we are playing a team that has only one win. And are probably like us a new team. I am happy with the positions for tonight. And I am comfortable with the batting order, everyone is doing good job at hitting.

Outfielders mission is to make plays. None of this blup single BS. If the other team cranks one over our head classify it as a good hit and move on. Back each other up (expecally me, I am going to try my best to catch as many balls as possible by jumping, or diving and if I miss I am going to need someone to cover me if the ball gets past me.) If you cannot get to the ball let it hit the ground and get it off the hop, and hit the cut off. (We need to use these guys a little more then what we have been.) My friend and I came to the conclusion that for some reason the ball does not fly well there. Get ready for the short flying balls.

Infield mission: try to stop the ground balls from making it into the outfield. Make smart thows. (Try not to throw the ball away) Do not throw the ball if you think you will miss the target. Also try not to pay so much attention to the other people on base keep the lead runner where they are at do not throw the ball at the runner at first going to second.

Play smart tonight and we should be able add a win. We are not a bad team. There are a lot of teams that play on friday that have been playing together for years and should even be in a tougher league.

Batting: Wait for YOUR pitch. Also remember walks are as good as a hit. dont swing at crap pitchs at a 2-0 count take the walk.

I think this is what I was planning for batting but not 100% sure seen my book is at home, But the positions are correct.

last game my gf and parents were there. My dad was talking crap to one of the other guys when he was batting because he wasnt swinging at anything..the guy tried to be all tough and stare my dad down multiple times...its was funny as hell. I was watching it from second base haha.

Next week should be a little interesting. KD is not going to be there because he has the option to make some OT money. Then Chris Might play with us as well as Ray-Ray and Glen (They will only be there if they do not have a Friday Tournament start)

So right now I have no Idea what I am going to do with the line up right now.
